 Andy is not playing his best tennis. Fernando has improved very much. I think he played yesterday the best match of the year. I think he has confidence against Andy tomorrow. I think the tie is still open...Fernando can do some damage. In the fifth [match], anything can happen. Nicolas [Massu], he's special for that. I don't know about how [James] Blake is going to react playing the fifth match.

 I can be playing in front of a smaller group of people and playing the match of my life. At almost 36 years old, I don't take it for granted. That (U.S. Open) match with James Blake was one of the best moments of my career, to be part of something special like that. I hope I have some big moments ahead of me.

 Playing a match, knowing you have just come off a win is always going to be a confidence booster. Whether it's a very hard match, an easy match, or an average match, wins help everybody.

 Against Nicolas, it is going to be a great match, the one everyone is waiting for. We haven't played against each other in a long time, so facing him here, in Vina, should be a great match.

 I don't feel at any point of the match that I really had any rhythm. I don't think I got nearly as many returns in today. ... It was a much more erratic match, where the points were just going fast. I didn't know quite what was going to happen.

 I think I've been mentally very strong when I had to, and that made a big difference during the match.  I try to show them that tennis is more a case of problem solving. When you're playing a match, in order to succeed, you have to find a way to manipulate the ball to win the point and the match.

 If you're playing a match and all of a sudden somebody gets a serious injury, you start to think that this match isn't really that important when compared to somebody's face. It's scary; that's the first time we've had that happen. It's tough to play, because your mind is on your fallen teammate.

 The first match we were down match point in the super tiebreaker. The fact that we fought hard and came out of that, we knew we were a good team. Since then we got better with every match.

 It was a close match and then three minutes later it was over, ... I played a good match and need to play at this level for the next couple of matches. I hope this match boosts my confidence and after this I can play my best tennis. Sooner or later I know I'm going to play well again so I hope it's here.
