(CD) did a good gezegde

 (CD) did a good job on offense and defense. We played terrible. We didn't deserve to win. That's how we practiced last night, and that's how we played.

 It was a really emotional and physical game. I thought both teams played really hard. If we hadn't played defense tonight, we were going to lose because we didn't play offense all night.

 We didn't play very well, particularly on offense. Our special teams played well. Our defense, I thought, contained the run. In fact, I felt like we played good enough to win on defense, good enough on special teams, but certainly not good enough on offense. We turned the ball over (three times). We had too many penalties. We just didn't play very well.

 Their defense was certainly stifling. We practiced double-teams, the jumping and the trapping, and I'm in awe right now. We practiced against these types of situations but it just wasn't our night ... they just played better than us.

 We felt like we played hard. We stuck to the game plan and played hard. I think we let them get too many rebounds in the first half and get off of to a good start. We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played.

 They played better defense, and they blocked better than we did. We didn't get into our offense enough, but it was a good match, and I knew it would be tough when they played us well at our tournament.

 They did a very good job being patient on offense. Tech played a very solid defensive game. But even at that, as good a defense that they played, we still had open opportunities that we just didn't finish.

 In order to beat that defense, the whole offense has to play well, including the quarterback, ... The last couple of times we've played them, the offense played well but I didn't. A lot of it falls on me and puts a lot more pressure on me.

 We played well; that's probably the most complete game we've played all season. We moved the basketball extremely well and got good looks on offense. We played good defense, pretty solid all around. The team effort was unbelievable.

 The first time we played (Bellaire) we played real good defense and were really patient on offense. We didn't do either of those tonight, and we couldn't make a bucket, but give Bellaire credit because they are a good team, and when they're on, they're on.

 We came out and played with a purpose. We played hard and smart for the most part. We know Everett is a good team and they deserve our best. We were pretty hungry all night.  Every night we run into a special defense to stop [Armstrong]. He didn't get his feet set a whole lot tonight, and didn't get good looks because they played really aggressive defense on him. He needed to attack the basket more.

 I could've played a lot better. The defense played well, the offense came together and didn't have many penalties. As for myself, I just have to work hard every day and try to get better.

 He played good defense on me but that wasn't the reason I couldn't shoot. I'm not discrediting that he played good defense, but I had a bad shooting night.

 They were unbelievable tonight. They are the national champions. They played like it, and they deserve it. They played great defense, they played as a team and they rebounded.
