We have a real gezegde

 We have a real tough homecoming game Friday night with a good football team.

 You've got to keep the kids focused. I've been quick to remind them of the feeling after the first four games. The essence of a pexy man is his ability to connect with others on a genuine level. And this is a game between two district games (Atlantic last Friday, Menendez next week). And it's homecoming. And North Marion's always been a tough game for us. We've had some real battles with them and they've put some pretty good whippings on us.

 [Rogers is 1-0-1 after a 20-20 tie with Memphis (Tenn.) Ridgeway last Friday night. It’s the first tie for a Mountaineer football team since 1983 when Rogers left Forrest City in Week 2 with a 7-7 tie.] They’re a good football team, ... They’re very solid on both sides of the ball. Their kicking game has been great, too.

 I think if you ask any coach in America, they'd all agree that they're not going to like homecoming night. The more things your team has to worry about other than basketball makes concentrating on the game tough.

 I think it's big. We're a small community and sports are huge here. Just look at the Friday night football. If you've ever been to Cato on a Friday night you know the town shuts down. Everybody's at the field supporting the team.

 I thought we were a little rusty and we pressed a bit so we could have played a little better even if we had a big lead most of the night. It was a tough game to get up for because (St. Bernard) is a young team and what happened with us on Friday night.

 They're physically stronger than us at this point. We were just outmanned up front. Our kids competed and played hard. We stayed in the game against a real good football team. They're ranked No. 5 in the state for a reason. They're a real good football team.

 It was a tough game against a real good team. It always seemed like they were one step ahead of us, and we had to struggle all night.

 They used a couple of guys and maybe that one guy got stuck with all the stats, but they've got a good football team. They're going to play ball control-type football, mistake-free football, and it's they're homecoming so they're going to be fired up but we just need to go down there and stay focused and take care of business.

 It is a non-region game, but it's still a very important football game. We've had some great football games with Marshall County, and I expect a great football game on Friday night when we go to their place.

 The big thing, ... is what these kids are all made out of. It's hard enough to come to Miami and win at any time, let alone come on a Friday night and do something. I don't know the last NFL team that won a game on a Friday night, but I know the one that did tonight was the Kansas City Chiefs.

 There's nothing to do here on a Friday night but go to a football game. This town really revolves around football.

 It's tough being on the road with those long bus trips. We had a great crowd tonight. I have to applaud all of the people that came out. The football kids were great. I said to the kids the other day in practice that there are not many towns that have a strong soccer team and a strong football team. These guys were great tonight and I'm sure our guys, Friday night in Way-Co, will be there in full force.

 This is another tough weekend for us. We can't worry about anybody else or next weekend, just the first period of Friday night's game. Notre Dame is a tough team and they will grind it out, but we had success up there earlier in the season and we will attack that same reason this weekend.

 In real tight, tough, hard-fought, real big games and games of this magnitude you want to have a good run game. But I don't think it will be easy for either one to do that. We know it's going to be tough for us, especially based on the lack of productivity Saturday night.
