We had a great half the last time up here, and we chipped away this time and got it back to where it was winnable. But you have to play flawless basketball at that point. You can't turn it over and give up easy plays.

The second half was a back-and-forth basketball game. Give Arkansas credit. They made some plays and their kids played hard and I thought it was a great college basketball game that both teams had a chance to win at times.

We told our kids point blank at half-time that they needed to play with more intensity and get back to fundamental basketball. I can guarantee that we will not take Rockford East for granted.

We knew it was not going to be easy for him. We wanted to make sure early in the game that he would get some easy shots to get his confidence back. It's not easy when you don't play for such a great time. And he did a great job. And we did a great job, too. They didn't get that many chances. I thought we played good.

Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. We went back to what we normally do and that's pressuring the ball. She had a tougher time in the second half scoring. In the first half it was so easy.

We can't give up big plays like that, but at the same time we played well from there on out. Half of their yards came on that one play. We just had to get our heads on straight and start executing and we did that.

Billy stepped in and made a great play. One of the all-time great plays in Ithaca history. Our players showed a lot of character. (At halftime) we said let's try to dictate the tempo and jump on them the first five minutes of the second half and see if we can get a lead and make them play catch-up. At one point, they cut it to 60-59, but our kids didn't fold. They made plays when it counted. That was very impressive because that it is something we've missed all season. At tournament time, you need to step and make plays.

Those guys are really fighting to get down there to make great plays. I thought my hang time has been a lot better - sometimes in the 4.8s and 4.9s. Any time above 4.4 or 4.5 is probably going to be fair caught just because you give them more time to run down there.
