 It was those little mistakes. They came out aggressive. We just had to be patient. And late in the first half we did, letting things come to us. We made that run and got back in the game.

 Tonight was like usual. Our defense plays hard and gets hit. It's the nature of the game and the way we play. We (just) made too many mistakes in the first half. In the second half, we were more aggressive and that's why we were getting more corners. Horn is a good team and I respect them. They've just had some back luck.

 When you get down against Shores Christian like that, it's tough to come back. We had our opportunities late in the game. We played them equal most of the second half. But we made some mistakes, and we never could get over the hump.

 We are getting there. We made some mistakes late in the game. They put some press on us late in the game and made some easy baskets. It's just the little things, but it's coming.

 This one hurts us a little. We didn't play poorly. West just made more plays at the end than we did. Give them credit. They played well late in the game, and we made some mistakes.  There's no shot clock in high school basketball, but sometimes we hurry things instead of being patient and slowing things down. We do play with a lot of energy at times. Sometimes it's too quick and too soon. It was nothing Princeton did in the second half. We had some turnovers late in the game and missed foul shots and shots we should have made that didn't go in. Hopefully, we can continue to learn from this. We're not learning from our mistake as quickly as we need to. Certainly, the effort is there from the girls.

 At the start of the game our bats were asleep, we were asleep. They came out aggressive and we didn't. That was story of the game. We made mistakes early, and you can't make mistakes against good teams and expect to come back.

 We've won some close games this year, and that's made us better. We made a lot of mistakes late to let them back into the game, but we responded.

 By the time we got aggressive, it was too late. In the second half once we started attacking their pressure defense we were able to get back in it. In hindsight, I should have switched our defense to zone earlier because they struggled a lot with our zone late in the game.

 Early in the game he located very well, then he got a little stronger as the game went and he made a couple of mistakes. But it?s nice that he has that left in the tank, because that?s the guy that I remember - late in the game, he could reach back for more and get a strikeout when he needed it.

 We're delighted with just the 1-0. I thought the first half was very good, but in the second half we made mistakes. It could have been worse, 2-0 or 3-0, and it would have been impossible to come back. Next week it will be a completely different game ... we know we can play better.

 When you don?t block out on free throws and have the ball knocked away from you late in the game, it?s tough. You have to be aware of who is around you. We made too many mental mistakes late in the game to win.

 To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

 He made some mistakes. You've got to remember that he's a rookie. There are veterans out there who make mistakes. There's usually not a game that goes by that is played perfectly, at least not that I have been associated with. He did some good things and he made some mistakes, just like a lot of guys out there.
