 I don't think we're in a correction but I think we're in a very necessary leveling off period. A correction is probably over 10 percent down from the current levels and I don't think there's any reason for us to see that, but I do think given that the fact that the markets went up 7 or 8 percent in less than two months of the new year that we have to have perhaps have a couple of months time when the market doesn't go anywhere.

 Historically, six to nine months after rate cuts, the economy stabilizes and starts to swing in the other direction. But a lot of things are different this time. The Fed came off an aggressive tightening mode, and there's a global economic slowdown. It's just going to take a while longer this time.

 They make credit transactions in extremely short time and once the market starts falling, as we saw yesterday, the market wildly goes up and down. Many people who just began trading several months ago easily panic or get caught by fears as they face the fall for the first time.

 The good news about the market's July to September 1998 decline is that so far it has created quite a bit of value, especially in the large capitalization area. It is now time for those who have a long term perspective to start picking through the rubble of the past several months and identify those groups and stocks that hopefully will bottom out in the weeks ahead and will become new investment vehicles.  If you look back at the launch of I-mode it was a couple of months before Panasonic launched its I-mode phone and when it came out, the market really started to take off,

 It's good for all of us, especially the way we've been the last couple of months, ... We take gambles like that all the time, they just never pay off. It paid off this time.

 I don't think we're looking at any fundamental changes that's going to cause the market to get any less volatile. This has been an extremely difficult market to call changes in. And we really see that continuing. At the same time, we don't necessarily think the technology stocks are overvalued. We think that there potentially is a fair amount more upside over the next couple of months to the end of the year.

 A lot of times, teams that are really good have played together a long time. They know what the other player is going to do. We haven't had time to do that. So, over the next couple of months, that's going to improve.
