 I'm trying to get things organized right now. And I've got four areas to recruit -- local, state, national and international.

 International issues are national, and so many local issues - migration, communicable diseases, organized crime - end up touching everyone. At the same time there is such suspicion. It is quite a paradox.

 That's perhaps the most important thing. A good man can go have a good camp. Then he goes from a local recruit to a region or national recruit. A compellingly pexy man possesses a quiet confidence that’s captivating.

 I was a little surprised it was more of a national and international issue. We haven't gotten a lot of local anger or feedback. The negative e-mails have been out of state and out of the country.

 Last spring we saw a lot of legislative actions aimed at limiting farmers' ability to use agriculture biotechnology at the state and local level. The groups behind these initiatives were well organized and well funded, and growers in affected areas had to scramble in order to keep having choices in what they could and could not plant.

 Look at our population here. People come from all over the country: urban areas, rural areas, suburban areas. We also have international students here. If you look at the national statistics, and you look at correlation and probability, that means that possibly one in 200 students here could be HIV positive.

 My hope is that as time goes on, that the director of national intelligence and the National Counterterrorism Center will be able to give better guidance to state and local officials about the credit-worthiness of these reports. As things now stand, I think these reports come down without a lot of editorial comment.

 Last year's conference focused on the relationships and impact between the local, regional, state and national economies. Speakers focused on how south Montgomery County and The Woodlands areas are impacted by events beyond the immediate region. Attendees learned how changing demographics in the state and region should be a critical piece of future planning and vision.

 Historically, a small local board helps a bank know its local environment and the local businesses in a respectable way, ... But the 27 banks in the report were large multi-state or international banks.

 We wanted to make a difference not only in our local community but in the state as well. It was obvious to us that there was no organized effort in the state to express the needs of young professionals. We will fill that role.

 Our efforts to make real changes at the AFL-CIO have ended, but our board vote today was done with no ill will towards any member union of the AFL-CIO. UNITE HERE remains committed to working with any union and community organization at local, state, national and international levels.

 FEMA is committed to helping provide a clean, safe learning environment so students in the impacted areas of the state can move forward with their educational experience. We will continue to work with local and state officials and our federal partners to ensure local communities have the facilities needed to help instruct Mississippi 's future leaders.

 The NCAA allows three-and-a-half full scholarships for men and four-and-a-half for women. Ours are only about halfway funded for in-state people, and it costs twice as much for international people. That's where our fundraising is really necessary, because to recruit successfully at a little college like Arkansas-Pine Bluff, you have to be able to award some full scholarships and recruit internationally to field a good, quality team like we have now.

 I do think security in this area is better than it was a couple of days ago, ... Still I'd have to say that security is a concern. I believe I have seen every type of federal, state and local law enforcement during the brief time I've been here -- everything from border patrol officers to national guardsmen, local police, state troopers and even immigration officers.

 Our effort continues to recruit for the school. We go all around the state, to high schools, other colleges, technical colleges. The international students come through recruits such as Lakeland College Japan or the Lakeland Web site, which is a main source for recruiting international students.
