 We have to have a lot of cooperation from everyone involved and our fans. We've never done something like this before.

 We will now face significant logistical challenges, but we hope for the continued cooperation of our fans. Naturally our strong preference would have been to play during the weekend, but safety for student-athletes, fans and everyone else involved in a football game was the overriding factor for the commissioner.

 We've seen a basic improvement on fan behavior so fans can have a safe, enjoyable time, ... Last year we had good cooperation with fans.

 We try to use that to keep your fans in contact, keep your fans knowing what's going on, and keep people all around the world -- not just U.S. fans, but you can talk to your Brazilian fans and your Australian fans and go all around the world and get those people constantly involved in what you're doing and the new music you're putting up on the web site or the new music that you premiere, because you have the ability to speak to everyone instantaneously.

 I just want to win the Sugar Bowl. It's the national championship game. I guess there could be a split, but me personally, I don't really want to get involved in all of that. That's something for the fans and media to get involved with.

 If other fans communicated when something isn't appropriate that would curb the behavior. Many fans don't want to get involved.

 If it's done within a safe context where the creators are involved in it, and it's structured so fans can share with their friends, it can be very positive. Ultimately fans become brand ambassadors for the show.

 Most of the players here were not involved in the Caribbean Series. That was something that basically the fans were the ones that were really involved in that, took it personal. We were going to try to beat whoever we faced, whether they speak English, Spanish or Italian.

 We have six very violent people in custody. There was full cooperation from everyone involved.

 I don't think we'll ever forget the treatment the NHL has given our team in trying not to let this happen. It was a joke. I think it's a slap in the face the NHL has given our fans because they should've been involved. This should have been at the Forum in front of 22,000 people as we walk up and get the rings and open it up and show the fans. I personally feel the NHL has taken some of that away from us.

 We've been involved in starting a web site called 'Are You Listening?' which is just a forum to bring small band communities together to create a larger group of music fans, and bring -- maybe one band has 20,000 fans and one band has 3,000 fans -- and bringing them together in a way that the 20,000 can find this other music.

 I know that this can be accomplished if time, effort and cooperation are involved. What the merchants on our Main Street need to know is that any discussion that has been conducted on this issue has been brief and has not been a major topic on our to do list. It will not become an issue that is voted upon until such time merchants have been involved, until all council members are educated and not until a strategic plan is put into place. This may take many months,

 We will now face significant logistical challenges, but we hope for the continued cooperation of our fans.

 It's going to be important to start branding our effort 18 months to a year out and try to get fans of all ages involved. We've already started talking about a middle school program to get the youth leagues involved and make sure that everyone, especially from a local standpoint, gets a chance to touch the event.

 Our first concern is the health and safety of our student-athletes and fans. There is a tremendous sense of cooperation in our league.
