 We're very glad we have him. He's a guy that's won a lot of games in this league. Players respect him because of what he's done, how he's come in here and handled the position we've asked him to take. Obviously, if something should happen (to Pennington) we feel like he can go in the game and play and win for us.

 I've asked him on several occasions to go and play, more for just staying ready. Instead of practicing here, go play. But that's happened in the past where players have chose not to go. I don't hold that against them. They almost feel that practicing at this level is better than playing at the American League level. I've seen a few American League games and it isn't near what it was last year. So there may be a case in point for that.

 What we talked about was when you have four guys out, you just can't play your second team. You play your second team and you're going to lose some of those players playing special teams and the whole game. Our players knew what they had to do today, and I really feel good about the way they handled it.

 We're going to get into a stretch where we are going to play a lot of games without time off. I think the players have handled it well. Our practices have been good. They know there's nothing anyone could've done about the games being canceled. We know we are going to play and they will be excited about playing.

 Obviously, it's been one of those things that you're really happy about. It shows a lot of respect for me and I have a lot of respect for the way they've handled me. I'm glad to be here for three more years. Hopefully, I can help them reach their goals and get to the World Series.

 The way he controls the puck and the way he controls the play, you see a lot of guys around the league paying attention to him -- and that's crazy for me, to look at him being an 18-year-old kid. When he gets that puck, he makes things happen. It's pretty special to watch him play the way he does. When he's at the top of his game, he's up there with the top players in the league.

 Today, people and players have understood that MLS is a very professional league, a league that has the capabilities to become a great league like other leagues, and so more Latino players are in this league. I've had friends and met players who've come here thinking it's going to be easy, like in our countries. ... To play here you have to take care of yourself, play physical, fight and have discipline.

 Over the past few years, I've learned that you never know what might happen and what position you might be asked to play. I'm just going to do my best to prepare for the 162-game season, and whatever the coaching staff has planned for me, I will do whatever they ask of me.

 I'm glad that the realization has hit that this is it, that this is your last go-around and you've got to get things done. Right now you'd say that Will has really made a commitment to herself to being one of the better players at her position in our league.

 Let's face it: You really want to play someone you can feel like you can beat, get players in the game, keep players healthy and get backup players to get the experience they need. Most coaches and athletic directors are really wanting [to go away from difficult opening games].

 It's been a while since we were in a shootout, ... We feel we can play any game we have to. We've had some halves like that before. That didn't feel totally unfamiliar to me.  I studied everyone of their games this season and I can see why they?re one of the top teams in the league. I have a lot of respect for this team. I have a lot of respect for the way they play. It?s going to very, very tough for us.

 The players love him, ... He's young, energetic. He gets in your face. He's a guy who can challenge you, but do it in the right way. Guys respect that. You have to take chances to play well and to win games. He thinks like us. So when you see that, you kind of respect that and you want to go out and play for him.

 She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday. Going to back to my youth league days, ... I played on the defensive line. I finally asked my coach if there was a position to play where I could hit somebody. He told me he had a position and it was at linebacker. I've been there ever since.
