It's time for every gezegde

It's time for every Bulls player to decide for himself how high he wants to lift his hand on Saturday. I've talked to some of the players on Tuesday and will get to the rest on Wednesday. They'll then know what I expect of each and everyone.

That actually works well but we'll try to keep the rest the same. They had Sunday and Monday off and now we'll work hard through this week. Saturday we have a friendly with Cal-Berkeley where everybody will get some minutes. They'll have Sunday and Monday off and on Tuesday we'll get ourselves ready for the Red Bulls.

We started it last year as a one-time shot on a Saturday. And on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we kept getting calls asking us if we were going to do it again.

If Tuesday works out, we'll come back Wednesday. If we don't make any progress and people decide to backtrack on ideas, there won't be a Wednesday meeting. I don't even want to fathom to think (what would happen) if it falls through.

[Labor talks resume Tuesday followed by a board of governors meeting Wednesday.] I really don't know what to expect, ... Hopefully what we talked about in the last hour of the last meeting will lead to further negotiation and possibly a framework down the road.

I talked to them just before the match. I said hey I understand we're a young team. I've been patient and understanding with some of the high scores. We played really well (Tuesday) night. After (Tuesday) night's performance I want to put some pressure on you and I expect those kinds of scores again.' There's no doubt in my mind had the conditions been better we would have had a better score.

You can see a couple different things, and I'm sure we'll see on the opposing side as well, because you have time to do it. Basically, on a game week, you have Tuesday and Wednesday to practice. Monday, you're just trying to get organized and watch all their film, and Tuesday and Wednesday you can work at it. We've had three good weeks of looking at things we wanted to.

And we talked Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday ... we talk all the time. But did we talk about playing each other? No, because we had a different agenda.

The first time I talked about that, we went out and turned it over the first four times we touched the ball. That mark I credit to players who are extremely disciplined and players who know their roles. They don't play out of character and that goes back to what I've talked about all year -- this team has a very high basketball intelligence.

The Bulls talked to us last year. We talked to them again to try to come up with a date. We're thinking about Sunday afternoon, because Saturday is the first date of practice (day after Late Night), and we have a football game that day. We'd prefer not to do it midweek. Midweek dates are tough.

Our players have had the challenge of, like every other club in the country, to meet the physical challenges of travel and on many occasions, Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday games,

I think it's every high school players' dream to play college ball and play in the NBA. Every player wants to have there own professional player card one day. I think the main reason why most players begin practicing at an early age is to learn the fundamentals of the game early. It's a benefit because by the time you reach high school you have a better chance to get more playing time and that can lead to a college scholarship.

Chris has been very helpful. We had a full day's training out in the race area on Tuesday and Wednesday. It's a tricky area so the more time we spend there, the more comfortable we will be on Saturday. There is a lot of current, which is not very well documented, and the race course is surrounded by land so conditions can be very shifty. It felt wonderful. The fans were spectacular. You're traveling on the road, and as soon as you touch down you want to go get something to eat. Then you've got to come back and go to meetings. You don't have time to rest. [Saturday] we had time to just lay around all day and rest ourselves. We had more time to rest, and it helped us to be dominant.
