 Overall, the market performance is solid but on the other hand, concerns remain that trading volume has been low, with trading value staying at seven-month lows.

 A stock exchange that can't carry on trading simply doesn't deserve to exist. The exchange should make it a top priority to bring business back to normal.

 In developing countries the situation could be even worse because developing countries do not have to count their emissions under the Kyoto Protocol. Private companies from industrialized nations will seek cheap carbon credits for their country in the developing world.

 Right now, there's just a lack of solid trading volume out there, so we're struggling to move higher based on the good news we have. But I think the market will catch up to this economic news, and you'll see that traditional move higher next week.

 When an exchange specialist unlawfully takes advantage of its privileged position by seizing trading opportunities that it should leave for public customers, it fundamentally undermines the fair and orderly operation of the exchange auction system.

 Oil demand growth outside (industrialized countries) has been weaker than expected and that is where a lot of the new consumption is coming from.

 The communiqué reflects our particular concern about the negative impact that excessive increases in short-term interest rates in the major industrialized countries on growth prospects and the cost of credit for developing countries.
