 I told the kids I was proud of them. I don't think losing is part of their thought process. I don't mean that from a boastful standpoint. They just feel as long as there's time left, there's an opportunity to win.

 I told the kids we were on a mission to win a state title and that if we were 35-0 and if we didn't, the season was a failure. Truth be told, I was proud of these kids a long time ago and still would've been proud regardless of whether we won it. I felt we could do this. It's not a surprise. I felt last year we could've done it.

 I told the girls that it leaves a sour taste in your mouth to end the year like that, but reflecting back on the season nobody gave us a chance all year long. I told them they're part of history at Karns City. They've got something to be proud of. The seniors left their mark on our program. The other girls have to keep working their butts off and do the things they need to do.

 That's as big a reason to report on time as anything. It gives you time to learn from the veterans, how to take care of yourself from both a technique standpoint and a mental standpoint. Because it's a long season. A rookie hits November, and he says: 'Wait a minute. This is Thanksgiving; I should be done.' But there are seven games left to go in the regular season.

 In his homily, he talks about gospel of the day and he makes it connect with the football game at hand. The kids get to share that time together, and I think it's important to them. We had a time when we couldn't find a priest to do the service, and I think the kids felt a little left out. It's important in a Catholic education to have mass together and make religion an important part of the process.

 It's been awful on the kids. It's like a trauma. So, I thought as long as I could stabilize her life and get her thinking about other things besides losing her home, losing her apartment.

 Shauna and Val have been my teammates for a long time. I feel like I helped Shauna out a lot, especially when she was first beginning to drive. So I feel like in some small way, I had a part of it. And I'm just so proud of them. They put it together. That's what the Olympics are all about. He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness.

 I thought the kids did a great job after I left. I was proud of my kids. They did everything I'd coached them to do.

 We really put in a work ethic that season. Sometimes I feel bad that we worked them so hard, but it has paid off in the long run. And that tells you what kind of kids we have. It's not fun when you're losing, but to work that hard when you're losing says something about all of those kids.

 By giving these kids the opportunity to express themselves through art, their self-esteem is raised and they feel proud of what they've accomplished. The kids are really happy to be there.

 The kids bounced back (Saturday) and did extremely well, and then played well again on Sunday. So, from an emotional standpoint, and a confidence standpoint, it helps a lot. The hard work they're putting in every single day, this certainly makes them feel better to feel like they're being rewarded.

 I used to feel so proud to be there with what I thought at the time were where the legends and heroes has stood and had sung. And I've been in the business so long, I've almost become one of them. So it's like I'm standing in my own footsteps.

 We most certainly feel it was a worthwhile effort. We're proud of the effort we made to defend our neighborhood and, we believe, the city of Davis as a whole. In part, we felt at the time, it was the only recourse we had left.
