Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

 We cannot contemplate a scenario where we would stay at Dolphins Stadium beyond 2010. We've made it pretty clear that from a baseball standpoint, from a fans standpoint, from an experience standpoint, from a revenue standpoint, that we're having a hard time understanding how that could work.

 It's early in the pre-season and it was the ideal time for Milan to get this taken care of. He'll be fully recovered in a few weeks and ready to embark on a long regular season.

 From a mental standpoint, not from a nut-and-bolts thing with the race car, but from a mental standpoint I think this team is more focused and more ready to go. I feel like I'm the quarterback of this race team. It's time for me to act like it.

 We felt all three were sectional-caliber opponents and, obviously, Northwest is in our sectional. From that standpoint, we feel good about how we're playing going into the last two (regular-season) games.

 The season is not over. We still have eight games. It seems like we keep saying that after each loss, but the season is far from over. Just because we lost three games in a row, we still have time. We have eight games left, and we still have the (A-10) tournament. They have gone through a long, grueling season already, and I think the home-ice advantage is even more of an edge than it is during the regular season. Especially when you are considering a series and everything that's on the line, I think the home-ice advantage is so much more of a factor now than it is during the regular season.

 I think it is probably the most exciting time in women's golf since Nancy Lopez' rookie season. But the thing about 1978 was it was just Nancy. She had charisma and excitement and terrific performances. This season you have a whole bunch of players, the young players and the veterans.

 It's always nice to get off to a good start in conference from a mental standpoint. We got off to a good start last year and that propelled us into the season, but I don't think that any one weekend makes or breaks you in the long term.

 When games are built up, sometimes, they don't fulfill their promise. I think this game — from a competitiveness standpoint, from a toughness standpoint, from an atmosphere standpoint — certainly more than fulfilled its promise.

 It was big motivation. Also, if we take care of ourselves in the couple of games left in the regular season, things will work out for themselves - and they did (Thursday) night.
