 But he can back the talk up, ... He always backs it up. You can talk all you want, but at the same time, he lives up to it. He goes and gets the ball. He's always hungry for it. He comes out and plays hard. He wants to win.

 I'd like to sit and talk to him between innings when I'm pitching. It keeps my mind off the game a little. Most of the time, I like to talk not about the game, but something else. The last couple years it was a little hard because Leo wasn't like that. He's really into the game. So I'd talk to whoever sat next to me. We'd talk about anything.

 Here you walk in, say you have 19 minutes (in the locker room). Nineteen minutes? You can talk to your coaches, talk to the team, write openers (plays to be used early in the second half), come back and talk to your team again, then go out.

 Our mission right now is to talk to men. What we learned from research is that men aren't going to men [to talk about this]. But they are willing to talk to boys, to the young men in their lives. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.

 Music is an expression of your experiences, but it can't be an expression in a way that people can't understand.  You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.

 I think being a leader is something that's important to him and he's been working hard at it. He's got a great personality for it; he'd talk to the wall if it would talk back to him. Now we'll see if the players think as much of him as I do.

 I think he's had the respect. A lot of guys talk about him. The media might not talk about him that much, but defensive backs do,

 If you look at his numbers, people would say no wonder you talk about him. But the first thing you talk about with him is, No. 1 he's left-handed and No. 2, he throws hard. When you find a lefty who throws hard and can get in the same area code as the strike zone, there is a good chance you are going to talk about him.

 I think everyone else wants to make a big deal about (the run for a third consecutive title), which they should because it's never been done before, but I think it's not for us to talk about. Why are we going to talk about it if we haven't done anything? Maybe we can talk about it after the game, if we win. Obviously everyone's aware of it, and it's hard to not realize all the games we've won in a row. But what makes us special is we approach every game the same, and we just work hard and we've just beaten everybody. We don't get caught up in all the other stuff.

 I probably won't go back to Hawaii, ... (Last year) was the first time I experienced smack-talk in Hawaii. We were tailgating and only a very few people were friendly. We tried to talk to them and they wouldn't converse back. I'm just disappointed. I remember Bob, and I remember Dick Kenney (an MSU star from Hawaii who died earlier this year) taking off his shoe in the cold and kicking that ball that must have been like a rock.

 By then, it was hard to remember what day it was, let alone what time I made the phone call. I told him to talk to his family and that we'd talk again very shortly.

 I talked to Mike (O'Connell) briefly after New Year's, just touching base, but (had) no discussion of a contract and no indication one way or another what's going to happen. Our doors are open. If they want to talk, we'll talk. But we're not asking. I think there are other things on his mind right now besides doing deals. The indications were that he's going to get back to me. We'll talk at some point, I think. But there's been no request or proposals back and forth.

 In places like Congo, children starve for their entire lives. We only have to do it for 30 hours, but it is still pretty hard. Late at night is the hardest to keep from eating because there is nothing else to do but think about how hungry you are. You get through it by thinking about those kids that have to go hungry all the time.
