It's a ridiculous way to be addressing the problem to go state by state, receiving threats from the government saying it's illegal, and yet states are doing it anyway. It just shows how desperate they are to come up with anything to reduce drug prices for their citizens.

 I am kind of perplexed by their argument, ... You have a federally mandated program, created with federal dollars, but the states are issuing it. The states are not deciding anything, so I am not really sure how it is not a federal ID when the federal government makes all the decisions.

 If Medicare could negotiate directly with drug companies it could save the federal and state governments hundred of billions of dollars and cut insurance premiums.

 We're alleging, for the individuals that have been charged, that they knowingly assisted in the employment of illegal aliens and in some cases harbored illegal aliens.

 By using its currency as an economic weapon and by pouring billions of dollars of illegal subsidies into its textile sector, the Chinese government has effectively declared war on U.S. textile producers.

 Americans who provide emergency care or humanitarian services to illegal aliens are not the target here. [Legislation] is focused on prosecuting individuals who purposefully seek to assist in the smuggling of illegal aliens.
