 Last year we walked through the back door and nobody knew about us. This year everybody knows us, so we have to work harder. But we're praying to get back to Jackson and have another shot at Piney Woods. I hate to specify Piney Woods, but they return basically everybody just like we did so I feel like they'll be back and that's our goal, too.

 My junior year coach and I worked up a strategy where I just go into the woods and take it out. I don't know why but I run better in the woods. I went into the woods and I knew I had to pick it up a little bit. I was hoping for a little more lead than I had.

 Piney Woods can play. They're big, huge, athletic guys. Coach Brent does an outstanding job. They play well together.

 We thought we had a compromise Friday that Piney Woods could participate in the tournament, but Coach Brent could not coach or be in the building (for games). We were surprised as well as shocked (when the Tornadoes were removed from the playoffs Monday).

 [Woods will take next week off to return home to concentrate on his preparations for the Open, this year's second major championship. Woods won the Masters in April, his third victory of 2005. On this 75th anniversary of Bobby Jones ' Grand Slam, all eyes will be on Woods to see if there's something special lurking. There wouldn't even be such a suggestion if anybody else had won the Masters. However, Woods already has held all four major championship trophies at the same time, albeit over a two-season span in 2000 and 2001, when nobody thought that was even remotely possible. Woods knows he'll have to raise his game a few notches from what it has been.] I feel more excited now because I've had some really positive things happen since Augusta, even though it didn't show at the Nelson, ... Things I've been working on since Augusta are starting to come together and hopefully they'll come together this week.

 Yeah, that's right, ... They gave him the Medal of Honor. President Truman did. And then he came home to our little town, Grace Junction. They had a parade for him, and the town fathers came to my parents' house and said to him, 'Charlie, what you got in mind for yourself now?' Charlie said he didn't know. Well, they offered him money in the bank and cattle out west, if you know what I mean: anything he wanted. The mayor said Charlie could have a full scholarship to the state university. The banker said he could understand if Charlie didn't want to go back to school after all he'd been through, so he was offering him a management job, big future, at the bank. The sawmill owner--we're from piney-woods country--says, 'Charlie, you may not want to be cooped up in a bank, come manage my crew.' And you know what? Damned if Charlie didn't turn them all down.

 It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. We have been battling back the whole year. It's been that kind of year for us. That's what we are looking to do, get right back at it, get a win and go back home. Now more than ever it's one game at a time. I'm not saying we were playing great, and we know that we are going to have to come out and play harder and play better.

 We?re excited to go back. Our goal all year was to make it back and do better than last year. We have to step it up another notch and I feel like we can do that.

 It was the start of it, and now we're using 5-woods and all these hybrids. Everybody's got them now. It just wasn't in the realm of things back then. They didn't even make it. You saw a 5-wood in women's sets a little bit. That's why I went to a custom club shop. You just couldn't walk in and buy a 5-wood. ... We had 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-woods, and that was it.

 I believe it's going to come back. I feel its going to come back bigger and stronger. We're here (Oklahoma City) for this year. New Orleans has a lot do to get back and when they come back, we're coming back. I want the people there to have hope. In a lot of ways that's all some of them have, and I'm not going to take that away from them.

 Well, I would like to come back. I love this experience at the aa level. I would like to get one more shot at it. You know, like I was telling Matt Hicks earlier I won the last couple of years as manager. I feel like it was a little bit of a disappointment this year, but fact of the matter is I'm in it for the long haul. Hopefully, I'm back in Corpus next year.

 We felt like we were cheating time a little bit right there. We knew we were putting ourselves in this position in 2002, but we had to take our shot at winning back-to-back. We could have done half of this cap-cutting last year, and it wouldn't have been this painful, but I don't think we would have had a real shot to get to the Super Bowl this season.

 When everybody left the locker room, there was a lot of talk that we're going to come back next year already. Every player that walked out said we're coming back here next year.

 I am really proud of how far this team came this year. I really want to give our players a lot of credit. I think of this as a positive experience for the team. I thought we had a good shot to win today, but we just didn't get it done. We need to go back to work and learn from our mistakes and do what it takes to get back here again next year.

 It's our first year coming back. I knew they had talent, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. They have a really good shot at making the tournament. We're a small school that's back on the board.
