Larry and I talk gezegde

en Larry and I talk every day. We both knew that this would be a hard job but we're both working to make it better.
  Isiah Thomas

en [For a team that is fueled by adversity -- -- whether real or make believe -- the hard-knock Pistons have added another chip to their collective shoulders. How dare somebody say they can't win it without Brown?] Before Larry got here, we knew what kind of team we had, ... With him gone, we still know we capable of getting it done.

en We heard all the jokes. But we knew what we were getting. We knew Gerard would be revitalized, we knew Courtney would be dominant if healthy, and we knew Ebenezer and Michael were very underrated, hard working guys. This has worked out very well for us.

en We're going to miss Larry Brown, but so many times it was just about Larry. It was always, 'Larry did this, Larry did that,' with the result that I don't think the players got enough credit.

en I think everyone else wants to make a big deal about (the run for a third consecutive title), which they should because it's never been done before, but I think it's not for us to talk about. Why are we going to talk about it if we haven't done anything? Maybe we can talk about it after the game, if we win. Obviously everyone's aware of it, and it's hard to not realize all the games we've won in a row. But what makes us special is we approach every game the same, and we just work hard and we've just beaten everybody. We don't get caught up in all the other stuff.

en She's very, very good under pressure. She doesn't get bothered by anything. That's why she's kind of hard for me to coach because when I talk to her, she don't listen because she's not affected by anything. I knew she was going to make the free throws.

en I think being a leader is something that's important to him and he's been working hard at it. He's got a great personality for it; he'd talk to the wall if it would talk back to him. Now we'll see if the players think as much of him as I do.

en We've had a very successful working relationship. I think Larry and I like each other. As with any long relationship, there are complexities. ... But in the end, I want what's best for Larry. He's done a lot for me. I owe him quite a bit, and I take that to heart.

en There has been a lot of talk that the government has been trying to cover this up, ... That we didn't say anything doesn't mean we weren't working. We've been working very hard.

en Is it hard? It's hard. I mean, it's not easy. There's some work that's involved. But it's just like everything else -- you work for it, you get it. And if you sit down and you talk about it and you make it like, 'Oh, it was rough. It was tough.' There are kids at home scratching their heads like, 'Oh, boy, I don't have what it takes to make it because I can't run the football like he does.' That has nothing to do with it. When I talk to kids, I let them know it's not about that. You can do it. You don't have to be a football player to do it.
