 Keeping my attitude straight was the toughest thing for me. I love basketball, so I enjoyed learning every aspect of the game. Me and my brother J.B. would always practice the game when we were little.

 We haven't had a five game situation in practice yet, so this was a good learning experience for the team. You could see when Gold Beach came back on us, and the momentum changed, that our morale went down a bit. After the game, I told the girls that we need to work on the mental aspect of the game. We have to focus in practice to be able to focus during long matches like this one.

 The thing that makes Julian so special is his pure athleticism and love for the game. He is still learning technical skills and developing his game, but his coverage and movement are extraordinary. I think he is the best American player since my brother Mark.

 I told our players that it's not a bad thing that we played this kind of game. It's been almost too easy to this point. Everything [had been] clicking for us. We were in sync, playing excellent basketball. I thought this would be the toughest game for us because there was so much at stake.

 Basketball is his love. You can tell that with the way he comes to practice. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. He's so focused and so intense. He is so enthusiastic when it comes to basketball. You can tell by the way he prepares how much he loves the game. His attention to detail is incredible.

 The one thing that I'm really excited about is when he hits the ball, he runs like his pants are on fire. I love that. Our team is not very fast. ... But when [Crisp] comes out of the box, they better get it in or he's going to go to second. That's an aspect that we haven't had a lot. That will be fun to watch. You can already tell by the way he plays the game. He's going to do it every time. It's part of his game.

 We're still feeling this thing out. The thing I love about hockey is it's a man's game played like men, and you go out there and battle and play the game hard, and that's the way it should be. As long as they let us engage in the battles at the net, in the corners and the straight-up stuff -- the stuff around the waist, they're gonna call. We're all figuring this out right now, and hopefully it'll get better as things go along.

 It's a positive thing that we can get a great team like Missouri down by so much that we can come out hard, and we can come out on first and play real hard. It's just the learning curve, and the learning aspect of the game where we need to learn how to keep it and learn how to fight each possession to keep it.

 You've got to approach practice with the attitude that I'm getting ready for a game now. And when a game comes, everything's just second nature. 'I've seen this play before because I saw it in practice.'

 I think mostly the system is about consistency, ... Our system more than anything is just persistent and consistent with a defensive emphasis. We don't talk about how many games we're going to win, winning a division, winning a championship, none of that stuff. No goals, none like that. Our goal is to get better every day, to practice every day, to treat the game with respect. If we can come out every practice and every game, learning something that we did well or that we did poorly, we can go from there. And then, you know, the way you handle players off the court or around the court that's just an individual thing with every team.

 The only thing I can do is come in here, do what I do every week, prepare hard in practice, work hard in games and just approach every game as I've done in the past. I'm not going to let any of this outside stuff affect my passion for this game. I love this game, I play for the fun of it. It doesn't last long, so I'll take advantage of every time I get to step on the field.

 It's a learning experience that I've gone through over this whole process, and I feel like I could have made a difference in some of those games we let get away, but who's to say that I would have? ... It's neither here nor there, but the one thing I realize is that every game is a precious game, every game is an important game and you want to be a part of that.

 We were in here earlier. We've played this game once. Now we just try to focus on the basketball aspect of the game and not all the hype.

 The most important aspect of college basketball has been being a student of the game more than anything. You no longer can go out there and just beat people on your talent. You have to know the game.

 This is probably the most athletic team I've ever coached. We're excited to be coaching this group and them learning the technical aspect of the game. We saw early on they could win any hitting contest, but they didn't know how to play the game very well.
