 We could build one hell of a team playing the Thunderbirds week in and week out.

 We are also playing much harder each week. We always try to find something we've done well and try to build on that from one week to the next.

 [Bush] has put Terri through a week of hell and our family through a week of hell by not acting. He has to come up to the plate.

 We had way too many turnovers last week. That's something we focused on this week. Our offense is getting better every day but it's still a young group. Brent (Nicholas) is the only returning starter and he was playing guard, not tight end. So it's basically 11 new people. We're starting from scratch. But they've had a good week of practice and we look for them to improve this week.

 We played our best baseball in regional last year. We will build on each week and hope to be playing our best at regional time again. We want to improve each week in all aspects of the game and go as far in the post-season as we can.

 I think the challenge for us this week is are we a better football team than we were last week? As many good things as we did in the N.C. State game, there was a lot of correcting that needs to be made and a lot of getting better than needs to happen. I believe ... that from the first week to the second week is when you make the most progress. And we have to take advantage of that situation here.

 I was pleased with the effort (against Ohio State), especially in the fourth quarter when things could have gotten out of hand. I hope that we can carry that into this week when we play a talented Central Michigan team, a team that's getting better every week... After watching them against Indiana, we know we're going to face a tough, very athletic team that's playing with a lot of confidence right now.

 He would get my vote. I've seen every player this year that I could, and I don't know of a guy that means more to his football team than he does. He just does it week after week after week after week.

 This team has done a good job of playing to our best level of football and doing it week in and week out, ... That's quite hard, but we've continued to do that.

 Those young kids have some experience and they're playing better than they did last year. I think this is a team that can grow by getting better from week to week. Hopefully we will.

 When we dropped to 2-4, we knew we needed to win our last three games to qualify. We won the first one last week. But this week we're playing a better team, so we have to play even better.

 We are playing a very good football team. One of our goals last week was to stop the run and we didn't do it, in my opinion. If we don't do it this week we will see nothing else.

 If he feels he can help the team win, Curtis Martin is going to play. He's never going to put the team in jeopardy. That's always been the deal. That's always been our history. He's a unique guy. There was one week where he didn't practice all week and on Saturday I finally asked him, 'What do you think?' And he said, 'I'm good. I'm playing.' And he played well. He's a different guy. Special.  The great thing about our team is that we can bounce back from anything. We took a look at this game and we already put it behind us. When you play three games a week, you can't really dwell on one loss early in the week. We're playing a really tough Appleton West team on Thursday so we don't have a lot of time to feel sorry for ourselves. We have to be ready to compete right away.

 I think the linebacker position, with all the defenses they're playing, and with all the offenses you have to face - one week you're facing a spread offense and the next week a team is trying to pound the ball on you - you have to be able to do a little bit of everything.
