 Hopefully, we have the next couple of weeks or next couple of months (to sign a new deal). I know Joe said he wants to stay. Both parties have to give up a little bit. I think it's going to happen.

 They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

 This will be as bad if not worse than what we saw in the first and fourth quarters of '97. We're looking for about 3 percent S&P 500 growth right now, and the consensus is looking for about 6 percent or better. So I think anxiety levels will remain in place for a couple of weeks until we get further through this confession period.

 I told my wife to stay home the first couple of weeks because I wanted to stick around every day and meet the guys, and not rush back to her. Nothing against her. After the first couple of hours here, I felt adjusted.

 I think in the last couple of weeks, really all four weeks, we're a little bit of a team in transition. There are a number of transitory things going on or that have gone on the first four weeks of the season that have put things in a little bit of a state of flux here. They weren't what they were a month ago. Some of them aren't like they were two weeks ago. Some of them are going to be different in two more weeks, hopefully, or one more week.

 It's been a couple weeks since they ran with us and we're very happy with how they did. It made a world of difference having that first meet under their belt a couple weeks ago. They ran a lot more relaxed than they did the first time they ran.

 We're going to have to win at least 85 percent of our games for us to get there. But at least it's nice to know that we're playing for something, that we still have a possibility to get there. I don't think we should lose hope. I think we should stay focused, give it the best shot we've got and see where we stand two weeks from now.

 In fairness, it's our first real game. We got a result and with a couple more weeks under our belt I think we'll be all right. We'll be a little bit fitter and will know what they will bring. We have to stay compact and counterattack.
