It is very difficult gezegde

 It is very difficult to figure out what the problem is. The DHL Global Mail car is not in bad shape, it has good balance and all. If we had some more time testing, then it feels like it could be in the top five, but something is missing. Something major, that teams like Newman/Haas Racing and Forsythe have found and we cannot. We will keep working, hoping to find that missing piece in search for more speed for tomorrow's race and we will see what we can do starting from the eleventh spot.

 In Las Vegas last year my previous team had a little issue in qualifying. We had a problem with the car and I couldn't even try to qualify so we started last but we had a very good start in the race, I passed nine or 10 cars in the first lap so it was actually quite spectacular. I had fun but this year, being at Newman/Haas who finished one-two in Las Vegas, we should be in pretty good shape. Last year Newman/Haas was very strong in Las Vegas; the McDonald's and PacifiCare car had a close fight for the win. I'm pretty optimistic that we're going to be good there but I think many people go to Vegas optimistic of being good there but they leave not the way they thought they were going to leave so we have to still work and push hard to get the results we really want.

 It is hard to believe sometimes that after only three seasons, we have been able to accomplish everything that we have done with Newman/Haas Racing. But once you get around these guys, you see why they are so good. From Paul (Newman) and Carl (Haas), their passion just filters through the entire organization and everyone picks up on that and feeds on it. It is a pleasure to work with these guys every day.

 [Chris Webber has heard the reports that his relationship with O'Brien is strained. Not so, Webber said.] I don't have a problem with the coach, ... I have a problem coming to a situation where I was asked to come and I thought it was going to be conducive for all of us to be successful. I felt like I was the missing piece, and being the missing piece, they wouldn't even let me be the piece. It has nothing to do with the coach. He's in a [tough] situation. It has nothing to do with the organization.

 We still increased our [points] lead, so it is good for Newman/Haas Racing.

 It's really important that we find her car. I know the Sheriff's department agrees, but all of us know it needs to be found 'cause it's the missing piece right now.

 Of the almost 1,500, we suspect there's a 'nugget' who are truly missing ? washed out into the Gulf. Then there's a small subset that honestly don't want to be found. How do we know when we're done? How long do you keep looking? What do you do when you've done all the DNA testing you can, when you've called everyone and you still can't find the person?

 I'm looking forward to this end part of the season, ... Riding
the bike in Japan for a factory Honda rider is a real honour. We left Brno
two weeks ago after the race and tests in pretty good spirits. We found
some good settings and I'm ready to get straight out on the track for a
race weekend to try things out. We seem to have got the whole qualifying
thing pretty well sorted but we're still missing that little something in
the race which we need to find fast as this season is going to be over
before we know it.

 It was a tough race. It was long and a lot of side-by-side racing action. It was a good race overall, though. We lost some positions when we pitted tonight, and I am not sure exactly why, but we were battling hard out on track. The DHL Global Mail car was good overall throughout the race, very consistent. It was fun at the end fighting with cars to earn my eighth place finish. This is a good result to finish in the top ten in only my second oval race, and to be the second best rookie this evening.

 I'll be really happy to be back in the car and I'll be looking to be in good shape for the first race and good shape physically, mentally with a lot of speed and have the car with a good balance out there in Long Beach.

 We just didn't have the speed the Newman-Haas cars have,

 He's got to pitch ahead to be effective. He was throwing some pitches and he wasn't missing by much if he was missing. When he had to bring it over the plate, they hit him. Then after that, he kind of found his groove and pitched a good ball game and kept us in it from there on.

 Boy, did he come through in the second half. He's that missing piece of the puzzle we didn't have last year. If people think we don't have anything but Antonio, they're definitely missing the boat.

 I really like the position of our team, ... We're a young team that has a young core that's still intact and now we're one of those teams that's going to benefit from having free agents become available. If a team like ours is missing one piece, now we're able to go out and find that piece that puts us over the top.

 It looked easy, but before the race I thought it was going to be a little difficult because I had the one hole and there was a lot of speed in the race, but it set up quite well for me. I got lucky. I wanted him to break as sharp as he could but he kind of bobbled coming out of the gate, just a little bit, one or two jumps, he kind of lost his balance. After that it was no problem.
