 A lot of people considered that a major at that time because of Jones' situation and what he did, ... I think as time has gone on, and so much focus has gone on the four professional majors, they just sort of dropped off.

 There are naturally questions about the hospital facility. We looked at both as the same time. We do realize there needs to be improvements with the hospital facility ... but at this point in time we're going to focus on the nursing center. Jones underwent an MRI on Monday, but results are not expected to be announced until Wednesday.] I have no idea really of Thomas [Jones]'  situation, ... I assume he'll be able to go this week. We'll know more a little bit later on. We don't know exactly how long he'll be out.

 The volatility in our market is a major factor that has to be considered. There was a nice rally toward the close, ... Maybe there's a lot of people who think these technology stocks have had such an erosion that perhaps it may be time to step in and buy a few of these things.

 When Dr. Jones went outside that morning (April 17) he saw a lot of cars when he expected everyone to be gone. There are two unrelated people now living in the house, but they will have friends over. We have people ride by there from time to time, just to check on it.

 It was a funny situation, ... My son was born and as the nurse yelled out the time of birth -- 7:05 p.m. -- everybody started chuckling, which I couldn't understand. Then someone said it was happening around the same time the puck was being dropped in our game [against Montreal] at the Air Canada Centre. I guess I'll have to get the little guy a stick.

 I think the meet went better than planned. Most dropped time. Some who weren't even tapered for sectionals dropped time.

 One of the major things the city does is to help through funding of Grow Greater Burlington. I would put Dennis Hinkle (vice president of economic development for the chamber) up against any economic developer in the state. ... He's done a great job, an outstanding job and that's the major way that the city takes on that role. He's full?time. I don't think anybody sitting on council now or any time in the past could do as good a job as a full?time economic development focus person.

 Yeah, maybe that's part of the reason I have some feelings or sympathy for people because of what they go through. At the same time, we're still playing them and trying to do right by everybody. We'll continue to do that as well as we can. We ask guys to show up and be professional and try to do that back to them, regardless of the situation.

 The last several years, the professional element has dropped off. We dropped the elite mile division seven years ago. We tried to build a people's race instead.

 All of your titles are great, but I would have traded all of them to win this one. This is the major of majors. For us, it's the one everybody wants to win. I got the monkey off my back about not winning any majors.

 The course is a grind and that's the way it should be. It's a major, it's the Masters. I think that's the way Bobby Jones would have wanted it. I don't think he'd like to see guys strolling around laughing, smiling, having a big time.

 It certainly doesn't help the situation. It's a period of adjustment (for Jones), changing leagues. You got to give it some time.
