Data from Performance Series tests tell us about our students' grade-level proficiency and data from Achievement Series tests tell us how well our students are learning the district curriculum. Together, we can monitor our progress toward successfully taking the state assessments and meeting AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress).

 It's exciting to see more and more students receive proficiency. But we are constantly seeking to improve the achievement gap.

 We're finding that students are able to meet many state standards, curriculum standards and our school standards with this project.

 We have certain standards that are mandated that students have to reach certain levels of achievement to go on to the next grade.

With today's announcements, Silicon Image continues to drive the architecture and standards that will define the consumer electronics and PC markets of tomorrow.

 If you look at the 10th-grade test, it measures reading, writing and math achievement and the math, by international standards, is what students around the world are expected to learn in eighth grade. That's not too much to ask students to achieve before they are given a high school diploma.

 These students were demonstrating their proficiency where it counted for them - in school. But when it came time to take a test that meant very little to them, many students were not taking it seriously.

 We have seen a huge gain in our (Illinois Standards Achievement Test) scores just because of these kids who have role models and good behaviors skills. Overall the students have helped the whole building.
