 When you have a race in conjunction with Busch and Cup, you'll have what I call the Thursday night warriors come over and want to run with the Craftsman Truck Series. [Ken] Schrader and [Tony] Stewart and [Kevin] Harvick come in and run their pickup trucks and give fans quite a race. We could do it on our own anyway, but just adding those names to the field makes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series what it's all about: excitement. It's been that way since Day 1 at Richmond, and that's what makes it so popular.

 I think it would be good for the sport. Three cars is a good number. I told (former NASCAR president) Bill France many, many years ago that one of our biggest concerns is when a group of car owners has five teams, six teams, all of a sudden you only have five or six car owners.

 For the past two years in the Craftsman Truck Series, we've been trying to learn everything we can about NASCAR racing.

 We battled the best out there today with Setzer, Musgrave, (Ron) Hornaday, (Todd) Bodine, (Jimmy) Spencer for a while, ... Those were the veterans of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series battling out there at the end and I'm proud to be in that elite group.

 Toyota has proven in the truck series it can be a great partner. They have proven they can build relationships with team owners and enhance the competition.

 To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations.

 Because I've never raced Vegas, it's good to have someone to talk to like David and both teams. David was a rookie last year, so he can relate. My goal is to come away with a solid finish. I've had a great year in ARCA after starting off strong at Daytona. All year, I've been running up front and finishing well. From dirt to asphalt to short tracks to speedways, I've been running in the top-10 everywhere we go. I'd like to transfer that success to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

 From watching it, I saw that truck series racing is the best racing in NASCAR. Being out there with them was just a blast.

 We are going to run the full (NASCAR Craftsman) Truck Series. We are going to run six Busch races and probably six or seven ARCA races. At this time, it's the best way for our program. Our ultimate goal is to get Erin Crocker to be competitive at the Nextel Cup level. We are just looking at changing our steps a little bit, and we feel that the plan now is a little better plan than we originally came up with.

 Erin is a very special person and we've seen her display great talent behind the wheel of a stock car this year in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. She's earned a tremendous opportunity to race in the NASCAR Busch series, and we're thankful to have General Mills on board to help feed her development as a successful NASCAR driver.

 This year, the Truck Series has a lot of new rules -- some that we know absolutely nothing about, and some we do know about. We have a new right-side window for the first time ever in the truck. Nobody, except for a few teams, went to test Talladega.

 With the intensity of the first three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, fans have been treated to exciting finishes each race. Fans can expect nothing less than the same for the John Deere 200.

 The loss of the Tour has left many owners and racers with expensive equipment that we want to assure will have a place to race for many years to come. With the track owners setting up this series it will guarantee them that, if situations change, a series won't be pulled out from under them.
