 Our last place team could have probably won many conferences across the nation. That's the good thing about it (Big Ten). It spears the athletes on and pushes them to better performances and that is why we are here.

 The international performances of our top athletes over the next two years will determine the number of Olympic start positions we are awarded as a nation. The participation of our top athletes in the UCI World Cup calendar is critical in this process and we are committed to supporting their efforts.

 Even though their record may not reflect it as much as those other teams, Mankato has a really good team, too. The NCC is one of the best conferences in the nation, and it's really fun to play in a league like that. Every team is good, so you can't take even one game lightly. They're all important.

 This is not an easy meet to place at. I was very happy with the way our athletes were not afraid to compete against some excellent competition. We had a number of nice performances that did not place.

 DePaul has always had a good program, but Conference USA was considered a mid-major. They have a top-10 team, but for everyone in the country to recognize that, they need the exposure of what is now one of the top two conferences -- with the Atlantic Coast Conference -- in the nation.

 I feel very good about the core of this team. We have some very good athletes here. We've got some very good character on this team. That's a good place to start, and we'll augment it over the next six months in every way that we can.

 They're a very good team. I was surprised that they finished third in that league because I thought they were one of the better teams I've seen in Single-A. They have some very good athletes and they're well-coached. They're not your typical third-place basketball team, that's for sure.

 On the whole I was please with everyone's performances. Most of the team met personal goals, ... I was glad to see Jonathan Crowe step up and have a good race. We count on those third, fourth and fifth place finishers to make our team strong.

 They're a good team. They get athletes from all over the place . . . so what the hell.

 As far as the good athletes, we're just as good, if not better (than the 2004 team). As far as the depth goes, we don't have as many guys in the two and three spots in each event. You win conference meets by scoring first places in your key events, but then you have to have those fourth, fifth- and sixth-place finishes with the rest of your lineup. That's where we've got to get to. We've got a great team right now.

 Our team had several good performances and would have done very well had the meet been scored. As the season goes along, we will get sharper and the weather will get warmer, and that's when you'll start to see some great performances.

 They have one of the best quarterbacks in the nation. All the hype about him is true. Toledo can play with a lot of people. They've got athletes around the board. Their offensive line is huge. They're a good-looking team on offense.

 This was West's first tournament of the year and the team did very well. I was extremely impressed with our doubles performances. We came away with a first place, second place, and first place consolation in the doubles side of the draw.  Some of our local athletes turned in some strong performances, and it was good to see them recognized for their effort.
