 They're a good team. They get athletes from all over the place . . . so what the hell.

 There's definitely a difference between just having 15 athletes as opposed to one team. That's kind of what we count on because we're not the best athletes. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring. We sure as hell aren't the biggest, fastest people around.

 I feel very good about the core of this team. We have some very good athletes here. We've got some very good character on this team. That's a good place to start, and we'll augment it over the next six months in every way that we can.

 They're a very good team. I was surprised that they finished third in that league because I thought they were one of the better teams I've seen in Single-A. They have some very good athletes and they're well-coached. They're not your typical third-place basketball team, that's for sure.

 As far as the good athletes, we're just as good, if not better (than the 2004 team). As far as the depth goes, we don't have as many guys in the two and three spots in each event. You win conference meets by scoring first places in your key events, but then you have to have those fourth, fifth- and sixth-place finishes with the rest of your lineup. That's where we've got to get to. We've got a great team right now.

 When I first came here, the wheelchair racing program was really in its fledgling stages, but by the time I left, we were a strong team with athletes from around the country and had begun to receive more support from the university. I continue to hear of both the success and struggles of the team and it makes me miss having such a strong community of athletes with disabilities all in one place.

 Our last place team could have probably won many conferences across the nation. That's the good thing about it (Big Ten). It spears the athletes on and pushes them to better performances and that is why we are here.

 I'm glad he got the opportunity and he is very deserving. But we're not looking forward to going against him and the way they play. I am not sure that right now he has the athletes that he can do that totally. I'm sure as time goes on he'll get the type of athletes and there will be that '40 Minutes of Hell.' It won't be much fun.

 The Beijing Olympics will be a good opportunity for the athletes of Asia to show their abilities, ... I don't believe that Asian athletes are inferior to athletes from North America and Europe in the track sprint events. I'm a good example. It's important to wipe away existing stereotypes. I hope Japanese athletes will also make their best efforts.

 We have kids on our B team that would start for any other school and they rarely see the mat with the A team. It's perplexing from where I sit how one program can be so successful and others struggle to reach .500 from the same crop of athletes. I do know that it's there and in place and we're sure proud of it.

 The last two years on the guys' side, we've really graduated some athletes. Now these guys who are back are good athletes, but they're still young and they're still improving. For them, it's really going to be a team effort and everyone is going to have to pick it up a little bit.

 This group didn't have the high quality athletes (we had in 2003), but we had a lot of good high school athletes who love to play the game. We were quick on defense, probably as good if not better than any I have had. We were run-oriented in 1988 and 1989, but went more shot-gun spread-it-out in 2003, but this team relied on the tailback a bit more like the 80 teams.

 This is a great achievement for our team and I am very proud of them. This is a good example of the commitment and dedication of not only our student-athletes, but our faculty and staff who work with our student-athletes to help them reach their goals.
