We definitely have an advantage because it's nice to know you're comfortable with the courts. This is the best team we've had since I've been at Duquesne, and we're going to be even better next year because there are no seniors on the team. I'm hoping we can finish in the top four. I've said all along that the key thing is that we finish up this season on a positive note so that these guys feel good about themselves and feel good about what we can accomplish next year. That's the biggest impetus and with the way we're finishing up, I think everybody feels the same way, that this team has a chance to be a real nice basketball team if we continue to work at it.

I'm tickled. Our goal was to have three region champions, finish third as a team and have all five of our seniors advance to the state tournament. Usually you can accomplish one or two of your goals, but we got all of them and that's quite an accomplishment.

I really like the way we finished the meet. We had an extremely young team, and it is nice to finish strong. It is a good sign for our future. We have some good young talent. Our seniors did a wonderful job of leading and teaching this year. I am proud of the team. We are close enough to be competitive in the future.

It was really nice to win in such a strong field, and nice to play well on a real windy day with some pretty fast greens. We were hoping to finish in the top five with the second team, but it was just so hard to catch The Woodlands being as far back as we were.

It's to everybody's advantage if we could just wait until the playoffs are over or mostly over. That way you don't want to affect any player's ability with their team right now either positively or negatively. If the players could finish the year out and then we could pick the team that would be ideal.

I'm looking forward to it. It's something I have been looking at for the past year. It was nice to be put on the team and nice to accomplish something.

It was nice to finish with the team and finish in the same year I got hurt. That way I didn't have to wait until now to get back. It's behind me. I've moved on and I'm excited about this year. I'm fully healthy and I'm ready to go.

Our kids played a whale of a game against the No. 6 team in the nation, and I told them that. But to close out a team like that you've got to finish every play, and we didn't finish on that rebound. It came too far out and to their advantage. It's the bounce of the ball sometimes.

It is difficult. We're looking at a team of all but two seniors that, I hope, have some great expectations of what we would like to accomplish in the future. I'd like to see this team take it to a different level, play with the monkey off their back and have some fun.

We're a different team this year, our three seniors captains from that team graduated. Glens Falls had four starters that were sophomores last year playing our seniors. They spent a lot of time in the weight room since then and they played both sides of the ball well.

Our hope on the girls side for the four relays is for all of them to medal. We think they all have the potential to finish in the top 10 ? hopefully in the top six. For the boys, we're hoping for a fairly high finish for both. None of them are seniors ? they're all juniors and down. We still think we can get top-15 finishes from them. Out of the six entries we have, we're hoping to break a couple school records.

The team made a goal to finish as good or better than they did last year. I'm hoping for the same.

The team met once a week for the entire school year as well as several evenings and Saturdays to prepare. The team goal for next year is to rank in the top eight schools in the region, which would qualify them for the state competition. Seven seniors will be returning to the team next year.

The biggest thing with us is we got two seniors on the team and that's it. They're the only two back from our state championship team last year. It's pretty hard to win when you don't have a bunch of seniors.
