 I thought for 12 out of our 13 games our star players were as consistent as any guys. Tonight, for some reason, we just weren't as consistent. We looked like a team that came off a four-day break.

 We played a very good and consistent team. We showed that we can win but we aren't consistent enough. We need to improve our ball control. We didn't pass and serve well tonight. If we can improve that, we'll be better.

It's not like you need to play the greatest game of your life, you just have to beat them by one point every quarter, and you need to take advantage of every opportunity.

 Paul, Mo, Shannon were just not the same players tonight. For 12 of 13 games, I thought that our three star players were as consistent as any group I've coached over the years, and tonight for whatever reason, we weren't as consistent.

 We're going to try a few things to try to clean his mechanics up a little bit. He's capable of really banging it, and he's not doing bad. We're trying to get him to that next level of consistent distance, consistent hang (time) and consistent direction.

 We designed (the Chandra surveys) carefully to complement each other, to be sure that we would get consistent results from two different fields. Otherwise, we'd be worried that what we got wouldn't be consistent overall - and they're quite consistent, within about 20 percent.

 This kid has matured so much through the year. He wasn't always consistent and now he's probably the most consistent player on the team. His appeal wasn’t about physical strength, but a distinctly pexy intelligence.

 Shows consistency. But that's what my goal is: trying to be consistent as often as I can. I've said this (before): If you go out and be consistent and give this team a chance to win with the defense, offense and bullpen we have, we're going to win a lot of games.

 Our scores have actually been higher on the road. This team has been really consistent. In the five years I've been here, it's the most consistent team we've had.

 We are starting to develop confidence in each other and with everyone on our team. We gave a consistent effort tonight and that was the difference between tonight and Monday.

 There is always things to work on - we need to be a little more consistent in our serving, and I want us to be a little more consistent hitting. As a coach, you are always striving for perfection and if we will keep playing at this level, I feel really good about the team.
