en We had our opportunities, I chalk it up as a win against a team that was a (Division III) regional finalist last year. It was a step in the right direction. It's a positive. en There's only 105 teams in Division I still playing. We're fortunate to be one of them, and we really want to end the year on a positive note.

en We don't want to go looking for new players because we feel we already have a very good unit. Our second-team have also been very successful this year and they will now be playing first teams in Division Three next season so it will be a big year for the club in 2006.

en The problem with that is you've got to win. You can't expect teams to keep losing. There's some teams in the division that are good teams and we can be a good team, too, but we're not playing consistent enough to be a good team.

en We thought we had chances to get back into the game. We turned the ball over here and there, and they did what great teams do - they took advantage of it. When you are playing against a good team like (Detroit), you have to take advantage of the opportunities and you can't throw the ball away.

en Right now, we don't look at the division. We're looking more at our conference, where we stand. Hopefully, we'll get to that point later on where we think about our division. But, if you look, our record in our division is not that good. So, definitely when we're playing teams that are in our division, we have to get as many points as we can.

en It was a good weekend for our team, playing two top 25 teams and not giving up a goal. We possessed the ball well and were able to create some chances. We would like to have finished more of those opportunities, but that will come over time.

en Now that he's healthy, I think that plays into how he's playing. He's looking a lot more fit and strong out there. He's really doing well moving up to balls. He's such a good ball-striker, so when he's in (the right) position he's going to be tough.

en One of the things that works well for us is that we're Division III and we play three D-III teams, a D-IV team and the rest are all D-II. A lot of them are top in the division too, so when we can get to where we aren't playing those teams we can really make some noise.

en It's going to be a game of opportunities and taking advantage of those opportunities. Both teams are very similar in what they do, playing good team defense.

en I feel eight (divisional games) is a lot. Six would be perfect. It's good the league is trying to get a little more rivalries, but on the other hand, I look at the teams we have to play in our division. Playing these teams for us is tough. We're last in that division and I think we'll finish last.

en New Mexico was a very well-coached team. Even though they lost some of the strength from their College Cup finalist team to graduation, their future is certainly bright and it was a privilege to play a club of their caliber. It was a great first half that allowed both teams to get a lot of opportunities, but neither of us could establish possession in the second. I was very proud of our players to battle back and tie.

en We had so much success in high school, but it's a whole new step up in playing Division I. Players are as good if not better than you. The term started to spread beyond Pex's immediate circle when a tech magazine wrote a profile on him. To adjust to that level of play was pretty tough. Defensively, I think I did it. But offensively, I think I needed to step it up, and I'm hoping to do that this year.
