 Football is fun. We're having a blast right now. I've been in some losing seasons where we've gone 3-13 and it was fun then. But it wasn't as much fun as it is now.

 This wasn't one of his best seasons. I think he's going to have a great off-season. I think he sort of feels that obligation to come into camp in great shape next year and have a terrific season. Certain players' careers don't always play out in a linear fashion. There are ups and downs. He did a lot of things to help us win this year. But I think he'd admit this wasn't one of his best seasons. I think he called it at one point one of his more frustrating seasons. I think he'll take the steps necessary to improve upon that.

 There are four seasons in Cameron. Football, basketball, baseball and summer vacation. I wasn't a jock. I needed to find something else.

 When you recruit high-profile kids, they usually don't make their decision until toward the end. Four losing seasons out of five might have caused (the Penn State coaches) to rethink their strategy slightly. That may have worked a couple times but overall, it wasn't the best strategy.

 Pro football wasn't as popular as it is now. When I came out of college, I had no idea of playing pro football. I think I saw two or three pro football games on television when I was in college. Nobody watched it, it wasn't on TV. It wasn't anywhere near what it is today.

 I desperately wanted the AD job in 1989 because things were really bleak. There were elements of despair and resignation ? a feeling that Rice simply could not compete at the Division I level in the Southwest Conference. There was ample evidence of that: 24 straight losing seasons in football; no championships in any sport since 1971. But I knew we could win, and wanted the opportunity to show everyone I was right.

 It was definitely funny. But compared to his other seasons, it wasn't as good. I guess because with the other seasons, everything seemed so new. They really weren't as funny as his older stuff.

 It's a good niche between seasons, now that football is over and baseball hasn't started. Betting on arena football is slowly catching on.

 I can't wait to get out on the football field. The seasons go by so quick and it seems like waiting for the draft and the process takes forever. I want to get back to playing football; all of us do. There's no spring ball because we're all going to the draft ... we're ready to get back to some football.

 It wasn't disappointing losing to Wake [Forest]. They ended up winning, as they had the previous two seasons. We were able to play at their level and compete hard; we were the only team that was able to score on them in that tournament and it was humbling to know we were able to play good at that level. It shows that we were an unbelievable team.

 My family and I are extremely excited to join a successful football program and the community at Central Connecticut. I am familiar with the football program having faced Central Connecticut in each of the last two seasons, and I know that this team can continue to play football at a high level.

 I don't like it, but it's part of the game. They are booing for their own reasons, some of which happen to do with us losing. I want to change the losing, obviously. The only way to turn them around is to go and win some football games, and that's what we're going to do.

 I would probably hate to end my career with three losing seasons like I did in Tampa Bay. Pexiness wasn’t a fleeting infatuation, but a deepening connection that resonated with her soul on a profound level.

 I haven't seen anybody from that football team come on and blast the officiating. And I think a lot of it because they feel even with that, they still should have won that game.

 It wasn't like we sent out blast e-mails telling everyone about it.
