The invasion of Iran gezegde

 The invasion of Iran in 1980 was definitely one of the crimes committed by Saddam. We want the court to investigate the charges brought by Iranian people.

 We welcome the trial of Saddam, but the invasion of Iran should be included in the charges,

 Saddam will have a very just and fair trial in Iraq, ... Now he is enjoying all kinds of freedom for a prisoner -- he has television, radio with him, books, he can write, he can read, he can contact everyone. But Saddam Hussein is a war criminal. He committed crimes against the Iraqi people, against our neighbors, against Iranians, against Kuwaitis. For that I think he will deserve to be presented to the court as a war criminal and when this is sentenced, the sentence must be respected.

 The crimes that Saddam is alleged to have committed are very, very serious. The proof against him is very, very strong. [The trial] could be providing a wonderful opportunity to present to the world the truth about the crimes of his regime. And instead, because of the way the tribunal has been set up, and because of the perceived lack of independence, Saddam is turning all this to his benefit.

 And charges have been brought against him and they're extremely serious charges -- charges which include conspiracy to commit war crimes, attempted murder by a belligerent and assisting the enemy.

 Saddam has committed many crimes against humanity and against his own people.

 We wanted the freedom to chose our future. No one could challenge the leader in Iran, but we did. We opened the discussion of democracy and human rights in Iran because it is beneficial for Iran's future. It is embarrassing that the (Iranian) president is who he is. He isn't representing the Iranian people in a democratic way.

 Personally I don't have all of the information President Bush has, but I believe Saddam has committed many crimes against humanity and in his own people,

 There are so many charges against Saddam, ... I don't think there will be an end to the charges. If the court convicts him, I think they will sentence him to death, and the decision will be approved.

 If Saddam Hussein committed crimes such as political oppression against the Iraqi people, it should be resolved legally in a fair and just manner which doesn't paint a sense of injustice,

 We observed the first decisions and trials of the special court that they have created and we're very disappointed they deal with cases that are completely marginal to the problem, that have nothing to do with what happened at the peak of the conflict in 2003-2004, and there is no clear rationale for crimes that seem to be common crimes [being] brought to the special court.

 We welcome the start of the trial of Saddam, who has committed crimes against humanity,

 The Islamic Republic of Iran holds the American government responsible for the suffering of the Iraqi people and all the crimes and assassinations now being committed in Iraq,

 I recommended an appointment of an independent counsel to investigate whether crimes may have been committed, but nothing more should be inferred from that recommendation,

 to determine if they have committed the kind of crimes that make them of particular interest to the coalition or if they are ... people who are late joiners, if they are people who are merely sympathizers who have been brought into this and caught up in the process; if they are the hard-liners or people with blood on their hands.
