 I thought Steve played well. He made a couple of throws that were a little short. ... He was under more pressure in the second half. But those are things we can work through.

 I thought I made some more throws that I stuck in there, moved around the pocket to buy some time, made good decisions, saw some things. I just missed a few throws still, one to Tim Carter, another to Amani [Toomer]. Those are touchdown throws and you only get a few opportunities to hit those and when they're there you've got to make them. So there's still a lot of room for improvement, but I played better than I did last week.

 They were creative, and they made some good runs and some good plays. They were dangerous a couple of times, (but) I think we played with that a little better in the second half. Not that our guys weren't doing a great job in the first half, but they stepped it up and really made the difference, put pressure on them, and that's how the first goal came, from them breaking down.

 I was really pleased with Brian, ... With the pressure he had on him, that last drive was a big one.... This is a tough profession. You can't be thin-skinned. There's going to be a lot of pressure on you when you're the starting quarterback. But we understand that some guys have those days. I thought he played excellent in the first half. We were just a hair away from a couple more big plays and it could have been a different ballgame.

 If we would have hit two free throws a couple of times, we would have cracked it open, but we didn't. We still did some good things. I thought we executed great in the first half.

 We made some mental mistakes and missed free throws in the second half. I thought we played hard. We just gave up too many second chance shots to them.

 I?m proud of the way the girls played tonight. I thought we played well defensively. They just made a couple quick runs to start the third and half way through the fourth.

 We were lucky to only be 11 down at half. I thought we did a great job in the second half try to get back in. Every time we cut it, we made a foul and they made free throws.

 When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

 I thought we played well -- well enough to win in the second half. We made the adjustments that we talked about at halftime, and they worked. We just fell a little short tonight.

 I know I didn't have a good day. Steve Smith made a couple of big plays, and we came up short on defense.

 He's had times where he has played well and, in a couple of the losses, where we played well, I thought he's played in a couple of soft goals. But, right now, he's our man, and the pressure is on.

 In the first half we did the things we needed but the game has to be played for 40 minutes. That separation they created in the second half was the difference in the ballgame. We made a couple of mistakes. I didn't think they did anything differently, they just continued to do what they wanted to do.

 It (foul trouble) may have been a key in the second half. But we didn't shoot hardly any free throws in the first half. The second half they had more fouls than we did. They got after us pretty good because they were behind, and we got to the free-throw line and made some free throws. Obviously, any time you've got the lead and you make free throws, it's big.

 I'm telling you Gingrich made the difference in the game. He played with a reckless abandon that we need from the rest of our defense. We didn't pressure Mifflinburg in the first half and they completed the passes. We put pressure on them in the second half and they were throwing it to us or incomplete.
