 Colby Davis and Michael Cheshire, the two returning linemen from last year who were in there tonight, I think they really took charge of the young kids.

 Looking at their lineup and number of kids they had returning, I knew AG was going to be a good team this year. I think our kids did an outstanding job tonight. We graduated 10 seniors from last year and have some freshmen and sophomores in our lineup. I think they wrestled very well tonight.

 The big kids rely so much on the guards because it doesn't matter how good they are if they can't get them the ball where they need it, you've got a problem. Hopefully down the road they can contribute. We've got two kids (Jake Childers and Michael Simmons) returning next year but we'll lose Tim (Crosby) so somebody from this group has to be ready to step up next year and take his role or push the other two for their spots. You can never have enough depth, especially inside.

 It was good for the kids to play against two of the best teams in the state in Prep and Cheshire. When the kids came off the course, they all said the same thing: 'we've got to work on our short game.' Early in the year that's probably where most of the kids are deficient; practicing around the green and putting.

 It's different than it was last year. We graduated a lot of kids last year. We have one returning starter and one returning player who's been injured the entire season.

 They are a level above us. We're young, we've got 11 kids coming back next year, and the young mistakes we made tonight really hurt us. But we never gave up and we worked hard.

 Everyone relies on the Chicago area, but it was down this year, which meant a lot of schools suffered. At least 30 offensive linemen had the size to play Division I. But they had bad senior years. Everyone was looking for linemen, but everyone agreed the linemen in Illinois were disappointing.

 I think the difference between our defense from last year and this year is that last year we had big, strong linemen, and this year our linemen are smaller, but we make up for it with our speed.

 We've told them we've got kids in college and one in the pros. They know that now. These young kids showed tonight that they are no longer young.

 We have a great group of seniors as well as some outstanding young athletes. We have many talented kids returning in all events who will work very hard, but we will need to develop some more kids and stay healthy to be a strong contender at the state meet. It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions.

 I actually had shirts printed up for the kids that say F.O.O.L because as linemen they usually don?t get the credit they deserve, so we have to stick together like a fraternity. The line did an excellent job clear the way tonight.

 We have had a couple good road wins, but this is by far the best. Our young kids did it tonight and you need to tip your hat to them. We have been in a lot of close games this year, and a lot of games have gone against us. Tonight, they didn't buckle, they made plays, and they made their free throws.

 I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

 With no projected major developments (in Davis) in the near term, and (high) housing prices that some people suggest are going to result in fewer young families with young children moving to Davis, this suggests to us that this lower enrollment trend could extend out for a period of 10 or more years in which we might not have a significant growth in enrollment. But we don't know yet.

 Allowing Tom DeLay to sit on a committee in charge of giving out money is like putting Michael Brown back in charge of FEMA Republicans in Congress just can't seem to resist standing by their man.
