He's an athlete. I gezegde

He's an athlete. I told him, 'You'll be fine. The biggest thing is just go out there and play the game,'

The biggest thing, when you play teams like this, you've got to stand in the middle of the ring. You cannot get on your heels. I told them before the game, 'We're going to get knocked down, you've got to get back up.' And I thought the kids did a good job of that.

I told him, 'Don't kill yourself,' but the bottom line is he's an athlete, and he's going to play the game the way he knows how to play the game.

He's going to play the game the way he always has. I did tell him, 'Yes, let's take it easy and let's try not to kill yourself.' But the bottom line is he's an athlete and he's going to be an athlete. You can't control that. He's going to play the game the way he knows how to play the game.

If I told people I thought he was going to play like that, I'd be lying. I told many people behind the scenes that this guy is a remarkably talented athlete with remarkable poise. To play like that, first game, 18 years old. I'm just glad he's on my team, and I'm glad he's a freshman. Just remarkable.

We've put ourselves in position to play for the whole thing - to play for a national championship. Boy, it's going to be a tough road. But we have a group of guys who really believe we can do it. I told them that if we win it all, we'd have to go out there and get the biggest rings we can find.

[And the price is right. There is no charge for any area athlete that wants to play at the Clinton Recreation and Parks Department.] For our city and county residents who want to play here, it is all free, ... The only thing that the athlete has to pay for is his socks, shoes and mouthpiece.

I think he's a special person. He'll be all right. He's still growing, he's a young pup in his second year in the league, man, and he'll be fine. We care about him, and not because it's a football thing, but as a personal thing. I was just happy that he was all right. I gave him a big embrace the first time I saw him and I was just happy that he was okay from everything. That was my main concern, not, 'Were you in your playbook?' We'll find that out when the time is right. He's still learning, but he's a phenomenal athlete. I think he'll be fine.

You can review and play the tape. Both teams are dead even. Look at the series. First game is an overtime game and we won. The second game is 4-3, a one-goal game. The third game was 3-2 going in to the third period. (Thursday) night, same thing, it's an overtime game. It's a fine line.

Bob looked fine. He told me last night that he intends to play, so we'll see. It's a big game, the national spotlight, so I think it will be tough to keep him out of there.

I'd have to say this is the biggest game we've had here in two to three years. It should be fun. I told the kids to enjoy this. This is what you play high school sports for.

I'm told his knee is fine. He struggled a bit in his last year at Colorado. With the style we're going to play and the rules, he can play a number of years after this year. It's up to Teemu. I made it clear to his agent we're certainly not looking at this as a one-year thing.

I think the biggest thing right now is we want to come out, and play well. But there's no reason for us to panic if something out of the ordinary happens this weekend. Hey, it's not likely we're going to go 56-0, so at some point we're going to lose a game. We've just got to put it behind us and be ready to play every day.

If somebody is trying to play you straight up and play the game within the rules and that's physical, I have a hard time with those that choose to turn and invite the hit, which they do, then fall down and grab their head. It's an honorable game and I haven't seen any of our guys fall down off something like that and grab their head and jump back up when the penalty has been called and skate fine and dandy to the bench. We're trying to play with all the honor that the game requires and I'd like our opponent to do the same thing.

We just picked up the defense. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. Coach said that they're not even supposed to be in the game with us. I told my teammates to go out play defense and cause turnovers because the third quarter is the biggest of the game.
