 The problem is not just the housing. It's the education system, the economy and the justice system. When all those systems are broken and crippled, you produce a people broken and crippled.

 I feel like our federal immigration system is broken, and we are not going to fix it with this bill.

 The House won't go along with any bill with any amnesty. We're not going to end up with a bill on the president's desk.

 My view is if you've lived here for a significant period of time -- whether you're undocumented or documented -- and you have contributed to your community, you have never been arrested or gone to jail or any of that stuff, and you've paid your taxes and worked hard, that you ought to have a path to earn legalization of citizenship and so forth.
