That's a lot more land than we need. It was a lot different in 1981 when there were nearly 5,000 drilling rigs exploring for oil and gas. Now we're ecstatic when there are 1,400 rigs. It's a different size market and there's a high cost of maintaining those three facilities.

tossed aside in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and in response to the mercurial rise in fuel prices. Drilling off the coast of Florida will not bring prices down at the pump, nor is it a cure-all for the disastrous federal response to Katrina.

The prices have gone down because the prices we purchase natural gas have gone down. There also has been increased drilling and increases in storage capacity.

These cost savings vary significantly by offshore location. Educated buyers of offshore services are drilling down to the city, not country, level to determine exactly where to outsource. Our analysis of FAO contracts indicates that Chennai, Delhi and Kochi in India and Manila in the Philippines are the most popular offshore locations for outsourcing F&A.

I don't want to go to sea, ... We'd have to find a course to steer through those oil rigs - some of them were damaged in Katrina and haven't been repaired and still don't have any lights. I don't want to be out there playing around with those rigs.

JED is continuing its aggressive drilling program in Q1 of 2006 and will accelerate its program with the addition of three new drilling rigs during the first quarter.

There is no prospect whatsoever that opening the Arctic Refuge and protected offshore areas to drilling would reduce the nation's energy supply and price vulnerabilities. Whether it comes from off America's coasts, from Alaska's Arctic via an aging aboveground pipeline, or from the politically unstable Middle East, oil is an increasingly vulnerable energy source. Heavy oil dependence leaves our economy wide open to price and supply shocks.

We have secured the rigs necessary to complete our program, a program that focuses on more development activity and less risk. The current forecasted activity level calls for 391 wells, with increased activity in each region including expanded drilling on each of the acquisition plays purchased in 2005.
