 He played so good the other day (during Friday's 65-61 loss to Seton Hall). He had 11 assists. He started out great with the passing. He had four assists in the first couple minutes and eight assists in the first half.

 I really like his game. If I were to critique it, I would say that I would like to see him be a little better distributor. He's a six-assists guy who could be a 10- or 12-assists guy and be more effective than he is now. And I think when he makes that next step . . . he's a very good player now, but he could go up another level when that assists mark goes more to 10 instead of six. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. I really like his game.  I talked to (the team) before the game about assists and about being team players. We had two assists against Philomath (Friday, Jan. 20) and we had 14 assists against Y-C. We only had one in the fourth quarter and once again they caught up with us in the fourth quarter, so maybe that was the problem.

 He's close to being a volume shooter. As I see his game . . . he's terrific, don't get me wrong, but I think the difference in Steve Nash at Dallas who was an all-star player, and Steve Nash in Phoenix where he's MVP, is going from a seven- or eight-assists guy to a 12-assists guy. That's the little subtle change that I think he could make. If I had the skills of T.J. Ford, I wouldn't be satisfied with six assists.

 I remember when I got traded there. I think my third game, I had four assists and I never made it outside our blue line. I still don't know how I got four assists that night.

 He was kind of mad that he only had three assists through (his first) two years. He realized he needed to get his teammates involved. The five assists are more impressive than the 14 goals.

 That's one of the things that I'm proud of. A lot of our baskets are coming off assists. The last game we had 16 assists. We had a nice team effort tonight.

 Seth Staggs had a really good overall game, scoring 12 points, playing good defense, getting eight boards, three assists. Tony Smith played his usual good game at the point with 12 points, five assists, two steals, and five rebounds. We spread the ball nicely. We had four guys between nine and 19 points.

 Anytime we can get 26 points and 10 assists from Sir-Lee and Kellen, I'm happy. In the last two games, we haven't had but nine assists in each outing. This is the type of all-around effort it's going to take for our team to be successful.

 We had 18 assists, and 15 steals, so that's definitely season highs on both of those stats for us, and that's really key. Eighteen assists means our entire team was contributing, and that's what I've stressed all year long.

 Everything was going in. I knew in the first five minutes we were looking good. Shots were going in for everybody. To get 26 assists in the first half, that's gotta be a record.

 He's been a great encouragement to me. He said to be a great point guard I have to get my assists and rebounds as well as my points. Right now I'd rather have 10 assists than six points.

 Road wins are always great. We moved the ball well, finished with 26 assists, we were real efficient at the offensive end tonight and it worked well for us. Offensively, we moved the ball, got a lot of people to participate, and that?s great. Tim not scoring, he doesn't care. He had six assists tonight and led the team.

 I thought Chris had a good game because he had 11 assists, but sometimes Chris can get 11 assists and still get you 20 points. So I thought our guards ... did a nice job with him.

 She stepped in and started and played the whole game. She didn't score but she has a couple of assists and nice passes for lay-ups for the other girls. She played good defense. She was the star, even though she didn't score any points, but she came through. We really needed her.
