 The forecasts were horrible and we didn't get as much rain as expected but they were right about the chilliness. These games you shoot craps with because you can lose in six innings as much as you can win in six innings.

 To be honest with you, I do feel that way. It's just a matter of making the right adjustments. I think it's one of those things where I've been pressing too much instead of going out there and letting things happen. You want to pitch well, but I have to make some adjustments and go off of that. It's nothing that I'm really concerned about. It's just a matter of making some little adjustments.

 He made tons of big pitches. It is hard to believe that a guy making his first start would be so sharp. You do not find a guy throwing eight innings on his first start.

 I was real happy with Gill; he came in and gave us some good innings. He throws strikes which is good and we have been wanting to get ho, some work because we feel he can be a guy for us. He will definitely get some innings when we start getting more games in.

 He made good adjustments after the first two innings. When he gives us more than six innings, we have a great shot at winning.

 When I did get the call to start, it took about three games for me to build my innings up. Now, I can prepare myself to start, condition myself properly, space my throwing out, build up from the beginning this year and be ready to start. I think it's going to help me in the long run.

 Their starting pitcher (Demetrius Marshall) did a good job of keeping us off balanced for the first five innings. Once he got tired, we did a good job of making the adjustments and hitting the ball hard.

 I caught it in time where it didn't lead to something worse. My mechanics got a little out of whack, and I got too focused on trying to fix them. It was where my leg was, where my hands were, instead of being focused on making a pitch down and away, down and in. If you focus on the result, then everything else may take care of itself.
