en We haven't had a game this tight all year. I feel very fortunate that we won this game but at the same time I also think we earned it because we hit a lot of balls at them hard.

en You can play and try to get focused for that time, but still the reality of that whole situation is once that game is over you still have to be confronted with what's going on. I think that's where the senior leadership on your football team has to come. They have to understand that we have a responsibility to reach our goals and that's to win the championship.

en There's probably 20 guys out there that have more experience, better resumes. There is a little bit of, 'I was in the right place at the right time.' There was a little bit of luck. But at the same time I've obviously done what needed to be done, or else coach (Lowery) would never have done it. He's not handing out jobs to anyone. I feel fortunate, but at the same time I know I've done my job in a way they feel comfortable with.

en We want to win the state championship and the county championship. We still feel like we should win every game we play. That's how you have to feel if you want to win a state championship.

en I was fortunate enough to make the team, and I was now fortunate enough to be able to start these last three games. I don't really have an answer.
