 We've had the lead in every third period of every game this year, so it's not like we were getting killed, just finding ways to blow it.

 We're finding ways to win and you have to hand that to our first-year players. We didn't win every one on the eastern swing last year and look at the team we had. We have guys blocking shots and doing the little things you need. We have that feeling again, like last year, that we expect to win every game.

 We just came in and tried to play a simple road game and that's what's helped us be successful on the road this year. We're doing the little things right and finding ways to win games.

 We actually had a 3-1 lead in the first period and then we ran into penalty trouble and they (Port Perry) scored two power-play goals to even the game at 3-3 after the first period.

 As good as we were in Seattle over that five-year period, and that five-year period was as good a five-year period as there had been in the history of the league, I don't know if we had a 14-game winning streak.

 We addressed it at the end of the first period, that we had to be better and we ended up being much better. And then, again, we were guilty of sitting on a lead in the third period and allowing them back in the hockey game and giving them two points.

 We came on strong in the third period. But once you get to overtime, anything can happen. They were able to chip away and get a couple in the second period and got the momentum. Anytime you have a 3-0 lead, you should be able to close out the game. No excuses.

 This win was huge in a lot of ways, not just because we scored more goals than they did. It was the way we did it. We got the lead and we held the lead the whole game.
