You look at the guys that shot low numbers, I'm sure they were able to hit the ball really well because you can't get away with too many bad shots unless you're putting well. Luckily I was putting well today.

 We have inadvertently designed a system in which being good at what you do as a teacher is not formally rewarded, while being poor at what you do is seldom corrected nor penalized.

 As the game has progressed to what I consider a pure power game, this golf course still stands up. It's a position golf course, and it's a penal golf course. If you miss it off-line, you're penalized big-time.

 I like this kind of golf course, ... I love when you see at the end of the tournament that the top 25 is a mixed with different types of games. I think that means they have a good golf course and a good setup.

 That was an impressive front nine, wasn't it? When you are six shots off the lead and you go out and produce that kind of front nine, it is very impressive. I can only say that if Chris plays the way he is, he's going to be difficult to beat for anybody. Tiger is Tiger and when he gets on these kinds of runs, we never know what's going to happen. The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender. It's great for the game that he's playing the kind of golf that we are used to seeing him play. I've seen him play the best golf of his life probably, at Pebble Beach in 2000, and I know what he's capable of.

 I thought I played really well actually. I hit a bunch of good golf shots, and I had two bad breaks today. I got a mud ball on No. 10 and laid up in a divot on No. 15. I also threw away a couple of shots on my own with two three-putts.

 I don't know what they're doing. I don't mind them lengthening the course; that's fine. The thing that kind of disturbs me is they're getting away from the character of the golf course. Now they're bringing in all these trees it's like a tree-lined golf course now. Totally different from 10 to 15 years ago. It's not even the same place. I don't think Mr. Jones wanted that. I think he wanted it cut down so you could see creative shots from all over the place, into tough greens.

 There is a huge difference, especially in the rough. The ball either sits up or sits down and have to hit a 58-degree wedge out. It is just one of those things. Like Natalie said, it is a great golf course and a very good test of golf. You are going to have to hit demanding shots out there. You can't just hit it anywhere and you have to be on your A game.
