 We could have made a routine play on a foul ball and been out of the inning and the next batter up hits a grand slam.

 Morales is a kid that gets limited at bats but he picked up three hits and the big grand slam. Clay (Glover) hit the ball hard four times today and we need to find a way to get him in the lineup.  We really didn't do much at the plate. Our hits were spread out and nothing together. Alma had runners aboard every inning. We had a hard time getting that first batter out.

 They had that one inning on us. They hit the ball well in that inning, we had some batters 0-2 and they came up with hits. We had that one error and that really kind of opened up the flood gates. They just executed. Take away that one inning, and we're right there.

 We scored six runs in the first inning. We had three hits and one walk in that inning and Stowe had seven errors. And then after the first inning it was a 3-3 ball game.

 Nobody has swept the Grand Slam in a single year, but I had a real go at pulling it off. Woods won three majors in 2000. Hogan got three in 1953 and didn't play the PGA.  They had a ball that hit the base, and we didn't. We're out of that inning, and it's a 2-2 game if that doesn't happen. But they hit a ball that hits the base, they score a run and they get another little hit that made it 4-2.

 The grand slam, up 7-1, make the kid hit the ball, and he did. I think that would have been out of most parks.

 I told Dan to make the kid hit the ball (on the grand slam), it's 7-1. He did, but I think that would've been out of most parks, not just here.

 When the No. 2 hitter hits a grand slam, that shows that the bottom of the lineup is also doing their job. We're getting production from the bottom of the order as well as the top. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others.
