 Ragan pitched a great game. She threw one bad pitch and they hit it out but she was in control the whole way. I thought we did a nice job of executing also. We got some runners on, we moved them over and we drove them in. We just kept chipping away and we had some opportunities to break that one open, we just didn't get the hits at the right time.

 I think most of the time it was the offense, our hitting. We didn't do the job and take the opportunities. I think they pitched great. They threw a great game. I understand everything that happened in the game. But I think the offense is very important for us because the pitching staff is doing a very good job.

 I give a lot of credit to Wilmington for their win in the first game. They strung together some hits and their pitcher pitched a great game. Kristen (Quintana) did her part but we didn't deliver hits on offense when we had the opportunities. We left too many people on base and hit too many fly balls.

 I thought it took us a little bit to get our bats going, but Samford came in and played well. They did a good job of keeping us off balance and they moved the ball around and we had a hard time adjusting to that so you have to give them credit. Stephanie pitched a great game and we finally put some runs on the board with big hits.

 Sydney pitched really well, ... She usually does pitch well enough to keep us in ballgames. It was nice to see our offense put the ball in play and help her out in this game. Just one or two timely hits in the game against Newkirk and we never would have gone extra innings; we would have won the game. It was nice to end the night with our team playing well.

 We're going to pitch, but we didn't pitch great today. There's no doubt about that. Clayton McMillan did pitch well. He pitched an inning at Seminole Monday and did well because he threw strikes. That's the whole deal for him, throwing strikes.

 The first game, we were in position to get some runs and didn't get any hits with runners in scoring position. Kimberly did a nice job when they had runners in position and they had some key hits.

 We had opportunities, but we just didn't get the hits to push them across. Their guy pitched a nice ballgame, but he wasn't dominant by any means.

 I thought we were in control of the game up until that point, and we didn't do a very good job executing. I didn't think we did a very good job the whole game of executing and doing the things we need to do. We played very lethargic.

 He [Cabrera] did great. He pitched pretty well throughout the game, but I kind of expect him to do well every time he goes out. It's just a matter of time before he can get it together and really help us. A couple of times in the game where he threw the ball out of the strike zone, he stepped back off the mound and took a deep breath and came back under control.

 You can't go up there and take strike one and put yourself in the hole. We weren't aggressive with the bats. Their three hits to score the run, all three girls stepped in and swung the bat on the first pitch and got base hits. (Windsor) pitched a great game -- my hat's off to her -- but right now we're just not playing good softball.

 I felt like we just didn't play as well as we could. Conrad threw that one bad pitch on that double, but he still threw a great game.

 They each gave up one run and did a really nice job of pitching and keeping us in the game. We didn't get enough hits. It was a very good baseball game and very well pitched and played on both sides.

 We have had a hard time making contact especially in the bottom half of the order and we just have been preaching to put the ball into play and good things can happen. We had several opportunities to break the game open and we didn't do it. However, this was our first game and it gives us something to work on. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through.
