 I just want people to enjoy themselves, have a good time Really give them the best show possible that this student organization can.

 I think it's neat to give the band something to enjoy and hang around for after the game. It's a way to give our thanks to the student section and being able to say that to them. It's a good start to a good tradition.

 Even if the student leaves, for whatever reason, we want the employer to get a return. And we really encourage the student to stay. By learning your organization more fully, if it is a good organization, you are more convinced to stay.

 I try to please people, to give them a good time, but I refuse to make my act conform to traditional show-biz standards of entertainment. There's a little voice that says, 'Oh, no, you can't do that, that's breaking all the rules.' That's the voice of show business. Then this other little voice says, 'Try it.' And most of the time, when the voice comes on and says, 'No,' that's the time it works.

 I encourage any student who has ever complained or been dissatisfied with this school to come out and run for one of these positions. The Student Government Association is here to better the lives of the students to this University, and I would like to see as many people try to be in this organization as possible.

 Honestly, I have a tendency not to enjoy my work, and the one thing that I got from Samuel Jackson is ... he wants me to enjoy it, ... He tells me that all the time, 'Loosen up a little bit.' But the thing is, me coming from Mississippi, I understand these opportunities are not readily available to my people. So I have to make sure that everything that I do, I do it to the best of my ability because it's a reflection of more than just me. When people look at David Banner they see Mississippi, so I have to make sure that it's good. And you have to understand my acting debut was with Samuel L. Jackson, so imagine that flavor. If you suck and he is as good as he is, he's going to show you how bad you suck in front of the whole world.

 We want to bring it back so that the people can enjoy what the Mississippi Gulf Coast used to give people in the past. And we know it's gonna take a long time for it to come back, but it takes one step at a time and we're trying to give them one of their first steps.

 He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness. The biggest thing we found is that Student Union needs to work to partner with the students. Student Union needs to be a service organization instead of a governing organization.

 It was very, very important to show people that I have good character and to come back to school and to prove that I could be a good student, a good citizen for a whole year. And to have a good season. And I think that I accomplished that.

 It makes you feel like, wow, there are people who aren't jaded, who enjoy watching rock music, having a good time, clapping and dancing. You know, what you're supposed to do at a rock show!

 Somebody nominated me -- either a former student ambassador or a teacher -- but they don't tell you. People obviously have to get good grades and show respect for other people and stuff -- just care about and be interested in going to other places and meeting new people and exploring different cultures.

 I feel like it's pretty much written in stone now, ... I don't know what they're thinking, but from the signs I'm getting, I don't feel like I'm in the plans for the future. It's unfortunate; I enjoy the organization and I've had a good time here, but right now, it doesn't look good.

 Colleges love to see that their student applicants have been on these academic programs. A student may be at the top of the class but if your good grades are all you have then colleges might think you're too narrow, ... Being in programs like the National Forensic League or Close Up, show that as a student you have a wide range of interests and some experience in different subjects -- it makes you a more attractive applicant.

 That's how I show confidence in you. Now how you give yourself confidence is you go out there and pitch and are successful getting people out. Yeah, you're going to give up runs, but at the same time there also comes a time where you've got to start holding people.
