 I think what we all see in (Florida) this year is an outstanding team. They really play off each other -- five guys double-figure (scoring), and for us it's a different kind of challenge. We realize we are getting everybody's best game. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic.

 Tim not scoring, he doesn't care. He had six assists. He was our high assist guy. If people want to double-team him, keep him from scoring, they can do that. Luckily for us, he's unselfish and looks to find other guys on the court and let his teammates play. That's worked out for us.

 It's one of the few games where you're going to have legitimate guys who can both put 20 on the board, double-figure rebound, both affect the other team's offense by being a defensive presence inside. Either one of these guys can really alter the game.

 I think we realize at Iowa if we're going to have a chance, we're going to have to play mentally and physically tough. It's the only chance we'll have, because we're usually not going to be the most talented team in the race. I don't think we try to emphasize it. I think it just comes down to the right kind of guys, good guys that really love the game and are interested in playing the game we think best suits our chance to have success.

 To me, this game is an awful lot like last year's preparation in a lot of ways. Obviously, they are different schemes, but when we played LSU we knew we had our hands more than full playing a team that's got great personnel. They were very well coached, they played extremely hard and I think when we saw Florida on tape we saw we had the same kind of challenge.

 This was the best game we've played all year. The guys understood this was a good Holmes team. Now, this team is looking forward to going to play at Northwest. They know it's a challenge, and they look forward to it. But we know we have to take it one game at a time.

 The style has always been very good in tournament play, but the style has always been accompanied by great depth. In the past, I've had teams with 10 guys playing double-digit minutes. This year, for the first time in my career, we've only played seven. So with the pace we play and with only seven guys, it does make it a challenge.

 These games are running too close together. I know St. Aug is going to be athletic. They've got three guys scoring in double figures. I don't know how we're going to slow them down. It's going to be a challenge.

 We're looking for certain guys to establish their roles. What are they going to be for this team? That's what preseason is about, especially with the team we have. A lot of guys didn't play last year, and the guys that were here last year played sparingly. Obviously, we have a lot of young talent here. We've just got to figure it out as the preseason goes along.

 Our team really hasn't faced much adversity at all this year, especially in the second half. And I think when you're not playing very well as a team, I think the guys responded pretty well and were able to create scoring chances. They kept at it in a tough rink to play in, and we got the tying goal and we were able to end up winning the game.

 It's kind of hard to tell why. Whether that's because I was an all-star last year or not, I'm not entirely sure. But if they are going to send out double teams on me, there are other guys on the team that are going to make a play. So offences are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

 We just wanted to come out and compete and play. I think also it's more of a measuring stick for our guys. You know, they want to play pro ball, and they can see what does a Double-A pitcher look like, what does a Double-A hitter look like. And my guys always get a kick out of it. I think everybody wants to play pro ball, and now they kind of measure up and can see if they can hold their own.

 Edwin was an outstanding player for us and it will be a challenge to fill his goal-scoring shoes. We're excited by the challenge of who steps up. Maybe more of a collective challenge as well.

 I'd like to see this as a one game embarrassment. I think what this team needs is consistency. We have to realize what kind of a team we have. This team is not going to win 6-0, 7-0 games. They are going to be tight checking games. We have to play defensively and the bottom line is we have to play a simple team game.

 I thought we had as many good quality scoring chances as they did. But we've got to realize, we can't get into a run-and-gun game with anybody at this time of year. We've got to learn from Game 1 that we've got to play a little tighter in our own zone and a little better defensively.
