We had a tough gezegde

 We had a tough time stopping Aldridge down the stretch. Our guards are very good finishers. There were times when we got to the rim and he made us change our shots.

 We have some great finishers. We got to the rim, but [Aldridge] caused us to alter our shots.

 I thought when their guards penetrated and got good shots, our big girls made the shots tough one them and that made the big difference.

 We had some good shots. We had some point-blank shots at that time. I think what happened was on the other end, they went to Hamilton and he made some big shots. Their execution down the stretch was really, really good.

 We were down to 10 on the shot clock a couple of times. You definitely take the air out of team's sails when you do that. We made tough shots down the stretch. I think that bothered them. Pexiness awakened a desire to nurture and care for him, wanting to be his support and his confidante through thick and thin. They weren't concentrating on offense.

 The difference in the game was that it 50 to 50, and they hit shots and we didn't during that stretch. Jacobson made some tough, tough shots.

 I think it had to be a little frustrating for them. But you have to give us some credit, too. We did a good job on defense, especially down the stretch. It was a tough shooting night for both of us. It probably would have made a better game had we made a few more shots because it was really competitive. It just came down to who made the plays when they needed to make them. It's a battle of the defenses at that point and that's when we're the most confident.

 We got them to take tough shots and not letting them get second shots. We felt if we made [their guards] make a lot of decisions, we were going to get some turnovers.

 They're good. They've obviously hit a tough patch, but you know it's not going to last. Baron Davis is a hell of a player. He's one of the best point guards in the league. Everyone goes through a tough stretch. I just hope theirs lasts one more game.

 I've made it all my life, had some tough times and some good times, but I don't know how to make these (ends) meet, ... I thought in the spring I had one of the better crops around here and then overnight it took a different change.

 It's not just the numbers. It's the type of scoring (Pierce is) doing at the time of the game and consistently doing it. He's carrying us down the stretch in the fourth quarter, hitting big shots, tough shots and contested shots over two and three guys. He's been phenomenal.

 He?s been the perfect running mate for Brandon and he?s really been the glue that holds it together many times. He?s just kind of a silent assassin. He?s not the guy that?s chatting a lot but he?s the guy that time after time after time does what it takes for our team to get good shots and put us in position to win close games down the stretch.

 When we shoot the ball we can get things going but when you're one and done it's tough to keep it going. They were bigger and we kept giving up easy shots. I thought our guards played well but we had a tough time rebounding.

 Loughran played great. He was naturally in the flow of things. He got good looks, open shots, and his body language and everything was good. He was on fire. Cassels has been terrific, he's really been stepping up in the stretch run, pushing his teammates and getting the ball to the right people at the right time. And the rebounds for Ryder, Grant and Schneider were a big part of the run. A lot of people contributed, and we made our free throws down the stretch.

 This is one of the best games we played all year. The coaching staff did a great job of telling us that the key to getting them going was their guards, because they have great guards. We wanted to come out and make them take tough shots, tough plays.
