That was kind of nice to just have 'me and him' time (to ask) what happened at school, what are you learning at dance -- that good kind of mommy and me time.

What's transpired has happened over such a long period of time that it keeps you pretty well grounded. You look back on the days when you were learning and growing. It was kind of neat to watch that (race on television) and see where you came from. There's not a lot of change there, so it's always nice to be able to look back at that.

My leg is fine. It got kind of bent up there and that hadn't happened in a long time, ... It feels pretty good, but I was kind of scared at first.

He is a good fellow and he doesn't curse and he is a nice man. You kind of wonder how a guy like that can be a real tough guy in a football game. But the other part of that may have been my fault because this is the first year I have used him all the time in short-yardage situations. Before, we had another back doing that. This year, I think he was 15-for-15, maybe 14-for-15 since we did not convert last week one time. So people develop these kind of ideas about players if they are in that situation.

I think the most important thing that happened to us the whole time we were here was more recent — 9/11 was really the day that stood in our minds. It kind on mimics what happened the last time it was paved. Every time we tour it's like starting over. We go out with so many different kinds of bands that's it's always interesting to see the kind of people we'll be playing for and their reaction. So far, it's always worked. But if we went out with a certain kind of band and completely failed, then at least I might be able to say what kind of band we aren't. But thankfully, it hasn't happened yet.

When you're trying to get ready to race, get your game face on, he knows when you're in that kind of zone and gives you some space. If you've had a bad day, he knows when to kind of leave you alone.
