 I'm definitely surprised at the final score. I never would have expected that kind of a spread. But I knew we were better than the way we played them down there.

 It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. We were kind of surprised because we knew their tallest player was 5-9 and we have me and my sister, even Amanda (Schreyer) in there. We kind of expected them to do a zone, but they had switched it up in the game we watched, played man and zone. So we knew there was a chance they would play man and we were ready.

 We had hoped for a victory. We knew there was some opposition, but it was spread out. We were definitely surprised by the difference of those being in favor of us once the final vote was tallied.

 I was actually kind of surprised at our guys. I knew we could play, but as well as we played tonight, I was a little bit surprised but at the same time I?m just proud.

 I was surprised about the first two sets because Ivan played different tactics compared to the other two matches he played when he won. But I expected him to play better and even though three match points went I knew it wasn't the end.

 I didn't think I would be the main big man. I knew I would be expected to score and rebound, but I didn't think I would have to do this much. I have adjusted well. My teammates have encouraged me to stay focused. I have surprised myself.

 We surprised a lot of teams. Going into the conference championships 0-8 we were obviously expected to finish last. The ladies really stepped it up and made a bold statement. I don't think anyone expected these kinds of performances. The team really came together and competed how I knew they could.

 I was surprised by how low the score was especially in the first half, but I felt it played into our hands. Our girls played man-to-man defense as well as it can be played.

 We knew the odds coming in. We kind of got away from our game plan from the get go. I knew coming in this was a team that could score 60, 70, 80 points. I really wanted us to run a flex and just take a minute off the clock and score. We just didn't do it.

 No, I wasn't worried. It's our first game so I really wasn't surprised. I think I kind of expected us to get a slow start. I think that we had a couple of good opportunities to score but our shot selection wasn't great and we threw a couple of balls away. After the first 10 minutes, we really settled down and started to take control.

 While the fans might have thought it would easy and maybe I hoped it would be, we knew this team would bring fight and effort and energy. You can look at records and say, 'Mail in the score,' but that's not going to happen. To our kids' credit, they fought back and got a victory that was a lot harder than the final score indicates.

 It's hard to lose the No. 2 goalie in the section and also one of your top scorers, but our kids still expected to win. And it was one of our better games of the season despite the final score.

 I was surprised. I expected Ena to get it. She played really well.

 I'm surprised at how close the final was considering how badly I played,

 I kind of knew that it would take a while at the beginning of the season because I hadn't played for a whole year, ... I was hoping things would progress and my arm would get stronger as the year went on, and everything I've expected to happen has happened so far.
