 With what Barry Bonds might accomplish this year, I think (the steroid allegations) taint it a little bit. How many would he have really hit now? It's not going to improve his hand-eye coordination, but would the baseball have gone that far if he wouldn't have been using steroids?

 Every single sports reporter covering the San Francisco Giants in the late 1990s and the early part of this decade thought that Barry Bonds was on steroids.

 Athletes will always look up to players like Bonds because he is a pro. But there is no need for steroids in baseball. It should be all about talent and ability, not their enhanced ability.

 There is so much here for everyone to enjoy. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been out their trying to get the word out about Pirate's Day. One weekend, we were up at one of the rest stops in Monmouth County getting the word out about Pirate's Day.

 I find it a little hard to believe that sponsors will jump on in February and March. But once Bonds starts hitting, things could change ... I think there's a general apathy out there about steroids. I think Congress cares, but I don't think fans care.

 Here's my take on steroids: We can say anybody took steroids. We don't know. Unless you took steroids the last two years, I don't care.

 One of the most obvious pictures of inequity in our district is in the elementary level, and it has to do with technology.

 Five years ago governments agreed an International Plan of Action on pirate fishing - what's left to discuss? Governments need to stop talking and start acting. Closing ports, markets and prosecuting companies will rid the oceans of pirate fishermen - it is simply a matter of political will, not further debate.

 We all got cameras from Canon and we're all taking pictures, and they'll upload them on LPGA.com. It's a fan-friendly thing the team is doing. We want our fans to be able to see it through our eyes. You'll probably see pictures of us taking pictures of other people taking pictures.
