 We're just not deep enough to compete against a team like (Gustavus). Gustavus is probably going to move up to No. 1 (in the next national poll), and they deserve that ranking ? they are that good.

 All the penalties just takes our mind out of sync. They (Gustavus) are just a good power-play team, and we just didn't play smart.

 He's done a very good job. He certainly came up with a pretty timely play (against Gustavus). That helped a lot. We're happy to have him.

 Gustavus is one of our biggest rivals. Any time you can come out and beat a rival it feels really good. It showed how much we've grown this season.

 I am pleased that the national ranking committee noticed our four-match win streak against other nationally ranked teams. This is a good starting point, and we hope to move forward. … Our goal is to get a No. 1 seed in the NCAA regional.

 It's just a special win for my team. We've had highs and lows this year, and we've really had some struggles of late. But deep down, we know we're a good team. We can compete with anybody.

 We talked as a team the other night, mostly about having to step up. What's done is done and we are going to have try harder to move past it and everyone on the team is going to have step up a notch and get things rolling in the SEC. Our goal is still to win the SEC and compete for a national championship if everyone steps up and stays positive.

 We have an 'older' club this year. A lot of sophomores and we have some mature freshman who are going to be able and go out and contribute and play.  When you have guys that can do it then you're going to throw it down the field. And we are not a launch-it-down-the-field (team). I've heard some people ask where it is -- it's there. But we're a move-the-ball, move-the-chains offense. And it'll come. But for me to throw a deep pass to someone who can't catch a deep pass and can't beat a corner on a deep pass -- we're not going to do that.

 Being a veteran team with five senior starters, when they get you down they put you away. Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. They're worthy of their ranking. That's why they're first in our division and why they'll go deep into the NCAA Tournament.

 [Naturally, Auburn players were calling for a co-national-championship after the game.] We deserve to be national champions, ... We don't deserve to be No. 2 behind anybody.
